Finally did it, took about 7hrs. I have 295-35-18 BFG dr mounted on C5 wagon wheels. Had to bash in the inner fender with a mini sledge, You have to really bash in the fender. Took a grinder took the whole lip off the fender. Grinded down the A-arm half an inch. Put a 2/8 spacer in and bolted the puppies up. no rub as of yet, but i was about to quit after 5hrs. Imo too much work i would never do it again but the rear end looks amazing. will get pics up tonight

Ouch! Poor car! That's a lot of panel beating! What did you do about the shocks, those can pose problems as well? About the trailing arms; 1/2" sounds like you may have gotten into the weld?

btw... C5 "wagon wheels," what's the width and offset on those?

no i didnt get into the weld on the arms, for the shocks thats why the spacer went in, they are 97 c5 wheels 18x9.5 i think 50mm or 55

That tire size is way too tall, if you went with a 295 you would have to go with a 20 or 25 and would look like a rubber band.

Not so! A 295/35 (on an 18) is only a little taller than the stock 17" rim/tire combo.
You could put 295's on 19's and still not need to drop down to a 25 series tire.

His ground A-arm probably failed. Call me crazy, but I cringed when I read that part... :nono:
