The other day my friend was asking why I never rotated my tires. I told him it's cuz they are all directional. He brought up having the tires taken off and put on the other rim, so the outsides would now be on the inside. I'm wondering if anyone has done this and if it would be worth it? I'm running BFG KDW2's up front and BFG DR's in the rear. The BFG's last 5000 miles but the oudside of the tire never gets warn out, unlike the inside.
I dunno, seems like a good idea but you never know...

I have been just rotating them from front to back. For me that is more then suitable and will improve tire wear with out all of that hassle or expense. Of course I rotate them all my self...

Yea, I have been rotating my stock 18's every 5k miles or so....So far im at 12k miles, and have quite a bit of tread left...I think I can make it to 20k safely without needing replacement.

Get an alignment lol says the non rotating staggered guy, my tires lasted me 12k on the back, and fronts are going to last ~22ish (just a guess) I have no idea why they wear faster in the rear:-off the

Car has Pedders suspension and has been fully aligned to their specs along with the cradle alignments.

Hmm, I'm peddered with bushings still factory shocks/springs/struts (got in on a free install deal) I'm still running dragbags in the back. If you watch as your car squats, the inside gets more track action. Do you launch alot? I've got my camber in the rear so its perfect at 8lbs of air. I run that daily and increases my spring rates.

It all depends on your budget and willingness to take time out of your schedule to get the tires rotated.
I had to do this exact thing with my 350Z before I owned the GTO (my GTO has the 17's so they can be rotated). The 350's though were not only directional, but the rears were a different size than the fronts so you could only swap fronts to fronts and rears to rears and to do so you had to have a tire shop take the rubber off and flip them and remount and rebalance.
I found a local shop to do this for me for 30 bucks each time (fronts only cause thats where the Z just chewed through rubber). I did this every 5-7k miles which did take a lot of effort on my part. Others, that had a bigger bankroll, would just chew through the tires and put more on (which would usually end up being every 12-15k miles).
Its all up to you. I would guess it would be less of a hassle with the GTO because The GTO overall doesnt go through tires as easily as the Z (driver dependent of course) as well as with the GTO the tires are the same size, thus you have more options of where to rotate the tires to thus extending their life even longer.
