After 6500 miles on my 2005 GTO, I needed new tires. All were about 1/16 of an inch of tread. One had a plug in it from about a month ago (front left). One hit a big chunk of metal on the freeway and died (back right).

I looked and I looked to find the perfect tire (cheap and high performance).

I just had some Triangles mounted on my stock 17" rims today. There is very little information about them anywhere, here or on Google.

I paid $78/tire and they look cool ( directional water displacement V shape ).

They are made in China...that is about all I know.

They are Triangle Talon TR968, 245/45R17 95V (TS55) to be more specific.

If anyone has any experience or knowledge about these, please enlighten me with a post.

I am going to give them a full workout tomorrow (burnouts and 120mph+ driving).

I have these on the rear with 245-40-18s. I had a nail in a tire and was in a tight spot, nobody had anything in 235-40 or 245-40 and I was going on a road trip so I had to get tires right then and there.

And like you, I searched and nobody knows anything about them at all. I did find one review and it was all positive. I've driven about 1k miles on them. Handling wise, they don't hold as well as the stock bridgestones through turns. Straight line, they grip a hell of a lot better. They're quiet, and also pretty damn good in the rain.

Thanks, Jim346.

I'm pretty hard on tires. The stock ones didn't last long (10 months). I'll give a report on the Triangle Tires after I work them over.

How did the tires hold up for you???
I just purchased the Diamondback TR968 ( i think same manufacturer) I like the look, good dry handling, but the wet handling I'm not impredssed with. I had General Exclaim UHPs before and theyn were great in dry & wet

I don't understand how the car is going to roll with triangle tires on it, but whatever. Ride quality is going to be awwFUL. ;)

Thats why I bought the Diamondback version TR968...The Triangle seems like it would drive a little ruff! LOL
