damn andrew. btw what time u goin out tonight?

i think ill go tomorrow if theres no word...

idk, i really like the car and the price i got with this one, im not sure i want to look at another, but i also dont know how long its going to be before they let me have this one... its been a week so far and im already going nuts.

but i also dont want to go to a dealer that will just let me walk out the door with bad tie rods only to hope i come back 500 miles later in need of repairs.

i have to kind of respect what they are doing at this dealership, while i dont like it. i do respect it.

Are they not available through GM? I noticed I have a right outer starting to get bad, and was going to check through the dealer.

Nope. Unless something has changed, my car has been sitting at the dealer for almost 3 weeks waiting for one.
I did have some hope yesterday when my tech called and said the GM had given the go ahead to use an aftermarket replacement, (it's a warranty repair) but now, hearing that Rocksand doesn't even have some I am worried again.
UGH!

I am still hoping for the best. i know my tech is really trying. He touches base with me about eveny other day to keep me updated.

From my understanding the tie rod ends are on national/international backorder with no ETA the last I saw posted on here.

yea im experiencing the same problem.. 10 weeks after an accident my shop realizes they need the tie rod end.. and now its a possble 4-8 more weeks from what i have been told.

im considering just drivin the car, if its not too bad , and waiting till the parts come in , not like i can afford the downtime on the car, i have been in a rental for 10 weeks now.. and really itchin to get my car back.. not having it sit idle at a shop while waiting for this elusive part

thoghts ?? ideas ?? on my idea.. just frustration.. and not really wanting to wait till november to get my car back, when the accident that put it there happened in june, all while im still makin the monthly payment on the car..

*edit* i did talk to Rob at Westfield ET , and he did say if its not a lot of play.. than all it will do is cause some tire wear , but if its a lot of play ,then it becomes a safety issue.

thanks for the info Rob !
