04 Wheel care

Need a little advice on how to care for the 04 wheels. I had just found out form another Jax member that the 17's on the 04's are not clear coated. And if you are not careful they can get nasty really quick. I am planning on getting new wheels and tires but not right away and would like to keep my wheels looking good for as long as I can. What are some other things I can do to keep them in good shape. I wash my car on a regular basis so I don't really have to worry too much about break dust. But would like to know of more things I can do.

yeah i found out the hard way those rims do not have a coating, just giving me a excuse to paint em gunmetal, use the soap from the car wash prob your best bet. no cleaners and you should be fine.

Ok I have used some of the all purpose wheel cleaners before but haven't noticed any issues yet. But I will quit using them. Should I also wax the wheels?
