From a football perspective only, it's a great signing to replace Jason Ferguson. And if this works out... and then next season Ferguson and Johnson playing well together on that D-line, yikes.

But, the franchise's image immediately takes a hit signing this guy. I know he's probably a thug, but what did he really do? He owned some illegal guns right? I have friends who have un-registered weapons, not that big of a deal to me as long as he didn't do anything with them (I know someone on here is going to freak over that statement, so im waiting). Did he do something else? I can't even remember. He also got pulled over in AZ but was under the legal limit, so nothing happened. But that triggered the Bears releasing him.

So, I hope he fits in well and plays like a beast again.

Looks like Valley Ranch is making a strong push to return to the glory days of last decade. :gr_jest: Hopefully it won't "snow" this time. :)

Eh, there's worse criminals in the league than Tank. If he keeps screwing up, he won't last long in Dallas. Just ask Quincy Carter.

He is fine player, good luck keeping him out of trouble IMO

Yeah, I don't think he did anything too terrible. If I was a well known, well paid athlete living in Chicago, bet your ass I'd have a few firearms as well.

Quincy...I can't decide who was more frustrating to watch...him or Statue of Bledsoe.

Compared to Vick, he looks like a standout citizen.

I think the bears were a little premature in releasing him, but the media was constantly talking about it since it was the only thing they can say negatively about the bears on the superbowl run.

The bears really wanted to keep Tank. If the Vick thing happened before that police pullover for what was a false DUI, I think he still would be on the team.

Good pick for Dallas. nothing wrong with the guy. Just like guns a little too much.
But he is in the right state now.

HOLLER, you nailed it, the bears wanted to keep Tank big time. However they wrote a side contract with him about his curfu(sp) issues, and then when he was pulled over at 3am and busted on false drug/booze charges ( which he tested negitve for) it was to late. He had broken there agreement, and they were conserned it would give the wrong idea if they let me slide. Had they found out sooner it was just guns, he would be a bear!

Really. TO had more touchdowns than any receiver in the NFL last season. With a broken finger. How stupid :gr_jest:

I rest my case about your sad franchise. To some teams, moral character and chemistry is more importanat than TDs. The guy is the WORST teammate in sports. I guess that doesn't matter to you. TDs must be more important than winning and team unity. Enjoy losing....

I'm not freaking but what the hell kind of friends do you have that carry unregistered guns? and even if they don't carry them, it is still illegal to have them so why bother looking for trouble when they could just easily register them and avoid lots of possible trouble down the road?

lmao. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Well, I can't blame TO for wanting to leave san Fransisco for obvious reasons. Can't blame him for wanting to leave Philly, because I live 10 minutes away and can say this place sucks. What amazes me is that there is more hate towards him and Dallas than there is with Leonard Little and the Rams. For just one example.

i believe we returned the favor the year dallas signed the other selfish douchebag, deon sanders. if i recall correctly we were up 21-0 in the first quarter!

And pretty good aint good enough. Nobody remembers teams that were pretty good. You haven't won shit since aikman retired and we haven't won shit since young retired.

As it stands today, I like the 9ers a hell of a lot better than your aging cowboys. We have turned the corner and the future looks bright. Can't say the same about the cowboys and "the player".

I was thinking the same thing. Most Niner's fans are pretty irrational, but I think T2S may have been caught up in some kind of lover's quarrel/triangle with Garcia and TO. :gr_jest:

Now it's not even football, it's the whole state you hate. The rest of the country didn't take Texas from Mexico. Texans took Texas from Mexico. I think I'm starting to see the deal. SF flies the rainbow flag for the west coast. Jersey flies it for the east. Hmmmm

I know. Living in the area here with the highest taxes in the nation and where I can buy a 50 year old shack of a house for 300K is awesome! How could I dare even think about leaving this paradise and moving back home? And I even get to live 10 minutes away from the most dangerous city in the nation! Woo Hoo!

WOW!!!! You are charming. Are all Jersey guys like you? What have I been missing all these years. I better hurry up and get my plane ticket.

Letting go of Tank was a bad decision. I hope it doesn't bite them in the booty this season.
