Was watching ESPN College Gameday this morning and they interviewed Nick Saban. Someone in the crowd right over Saban's shoulder had a huge sign with "Suck it Saban" on. Behind him a huge sign read "awful" on one side and "fugly" on the other. Made me roffle just a bit....:coffee:

when SI had a big write up on him, it was the same week that they had a write up on Vick's dog abuse and then the writer in Saban's story says, that the college gave him enough money to "burn a wet dog".
I thought that was bad timing to use that analogy

Saban will always be a huge quitter in my book. He came down and coached my phins and then turned his back on us and left when the situation didn't fit his plans.
He is a liar...

Slick Nick is about to find out after loosing to Georgia last night, that the sports press in Alabama is harder on UA football coaches than the same press in Miami. Yes indeed, the honeymoon is over for "Coach Satan".

i'd believe the media is bad, but there are no worse sports fans in the country than Miami sports fans (in any sport). They're the worst fair weather bandwagon fans in the world.
Ref: 2003 Marlins for how they jump on the bandwagon
Ref: 2001-present Miami Hurricanes to see how they abandon a team as hard times set in
How bad are Miami fans? In the city with the highest central and south American population in the country, they couldn't keep a Major League Soccer team in business there because nobody would go to the games. Now THAT'S bad.

He let LSU down, he let the Dolphins down, and he will eventually let Alabama down.

Then Dolphins' coach Nick Saban as quoted in the Miami Herald Dec. 22, 2006: "I guess I have to say it - I'm not going to be the Alabama coach.''
By January 4th, half the stories in the Herald were about Saban leaving for 'Bama.
If you want to leave that's fine, but don't lie about it, you lying liar.
Oh, well. At least Mizzou is ranked ahead of the Tide. :)

You hit he nail on the head with that one- I've always felt that way about Miami sports/fans. It's amazing how many empty seats I see on TV when watching home games for the Heat, Marlins, Dolphins, & Canes when they're not champions. Close second goes to Atlanta sports/fans. Come to think of it they may be even worse- at least Miami can use the low population & nobody speaks English excuse.
It must be frustrating actually being a fan but watching black-outs if you're not in the stands. I recall a Fins playoff game(s) that didn't sell out. How in the world do you NOT sell out an NFL playoff game?
