It seems my wolverines are back on track but obviously its too late for them. No reason they can't be in the top 20 (15-20) and get a bowl game but in the past 2 games and with a backup freshman starting, they are looking more like the team they should be.

I'd love to see Michigan win the Big 10, but I'm not sure if they can pull it off. That way I could say 1-AA is better than the Big 10 conference, and that would be delicious

USC > Michigan > Ohio State

Penn State lost to the team that lost to App State. That must feel great for them.

Penn State will never win a NC or beat teams like Michigan as long as they have Jay Paterno, Galen hall and that incompetent crew running the Offense. JoePa wont replace them and therefore IMO PSU are in for mediocre recruiting and play until Joe either Dies or finally decides to Retire. Their QB and OL development hasnt been good, and its been downright abysmal the last 10 years. Oregon and App State showed how to beat big blue, ND showed what NOT to do. SO what do the PSU Geniuses do, they copy ND and hope to win with Defense. Granted, PSU doesnt have the style of offense that Oregon or A-state, but they could have done sooooooooo much better than running 2 up the middle and then trying for a desperation pass on 3rd down. That may have worked in the 60s but doesnt now. I bleed blue and white but I dont drink the kool aid. Its high time they quit living in the past and clean out the dead wood. Paterno doesnt necessarily need to go but his Offensive coaches sure do.

The problem with Penn State is their quarterback. Mirelli sucks....they had a decent team last year as well and Mirelli killed them.

App State got clobbered by Wofford [?] So I guess Wofford > Mich & PSU.

As an App grad, does that mean we could beat Penn State? Or could Wofford beat all of them?

It appears that there's some pretty good football being played by relative unknowns this year.

their QBs always suck because they sit the bench for 2 years and then they are tossed in for the final 2. By the time they get comfortable its time to move on. I think Morelli was a better QB 4 years ago than he is today. Like every other PSU QB he is consistently inconsistent, and you never know which QB will show up. The same pattern occured with every QB for the last 15+ years. IMO its not the talent, its the coaching, and it sucks. PSUs backups prob have as much talent but theyve been sitting around for 2 years and only get to play in extreme situations. Other teams uses freshmen QBs with success and develop them quite well. but not PSU.

Wofford got drilled by NC State last week.
NC State has lost to Central Florida, Boston College, and Clemson.
Central Florida lost to Texas.

Where does it end??? What does it mean???

Joe Paterno has a track record of scheduling Patsies for the first couple of games every year. He does this knowing his team "should" handle them. This is a confidence booster for this players. When PSU schedules top notch teams at the head of the schedule they usually lose. Although other teams have on their schedule rank opponents, PSU's history of scheduling multiple patsies on their schedule is prevalent. The local news media puts them on a pedestal every year when they start the season 2-0.

JoePA every year says "we haven't been tested" after they beat the hell out of I-AA and I-A teams with no Blue Chips in their roster. When the time comes to the meat of their schedule and they lose, the confidence level of the team is compromised, and they struggle.

JoePA is a class coach. As a former coach I appreciate his class and how deals with kids who violate team rules. Many other coaches bury it unless they are arrested. I have never been a PSU fan because of the teams they schedule they have no business playing and then demand respect for it. I love watching the local news media eating crow every year.

Michigan will end up in the top 15 at years end. Of the 400 bowl games out there now, they will end up in one of them. Watch and see.

I think as an App State grad you can no longer complain about not being in the Top 25 this year.

Never did - our schedule strength doesn't justify it, even if we were still undefeated.
