I know he's not the future or anything, but maybe a band-aid to get us into next year. To think we could of had Culpepper or Leftwich.
Go Bears.

sorry guys-- take it from a Dolphins fan-- Griese is not the answer, merely a new problem to bitch about

Yup, I said it another thread. But Griese isn't even a band-aid, he's more like a dab of glue on an open wound.
Now that I said that, he's probably gonna go 23-28 for 340 yards next week. Or not.

Take it from a Broncos fan, he was the worse quarterback ever. Why do you think we went with our third stringer for a while over him.

I just saw Sportscenter, and they actually had the balls to try and say he looked good in the preseason. I guess if he just doesn't turn it over, he's a big upgrade. Naw, Griese sucks.

Well, it's not like he had a great offensive line in Miami lol. Pass protection was zero.

Griese may not be that great, but something had to be done about Grossman. 1 TD and 6 INT in 3 games is about as miserable as you can get.

Don't forget about the SB. Grossman is a headcase right now. The best thing for him is to leave Chicago and never look back- it might save his career.
Griese deserves to start. He may not throw for 350 yards and 4 TD's (like Grossman had shown the promise to do at times early last year), but Bears fans are just looking for someone that can hold onto a snap and quit throwing 3 int's every game resulting indirectly to defenders get injured. I can just imagine the defense on the sideline- get off the field, sit down for 1 second. Grossman/offense turn the ball over, defenders have to stand back up- "Well, time for another groin injury/hammy pull/cramps".
I'm glad the Bears didn't pick up either Leftwich or Culpepper. For one, they don't have the roster spots. Culpepper has been nothing but hurt/immobile and he hasn't done a damn thing since he lost a great offensive line and Randy Moss in Minnesota. As for Leftwich, it must say a lot about him if the Jaguars have QB troubles as it is and let him go. Then it takes a few weeks for him to find any takers- and it ends up being Atlanta which is a whole nother topic :banghead:

^^ Yep could not of said is better, Grossman is a headcase big time. Hey mabey the Bears can trade him to the Cardinals for Leinart ?
Kyle Orton is the Bears Future per Lovie, Benching Grossman, and having Griese is a blessing, I dont think Griese can do any worse. I would like to see Kyle get some playing time depending on how the season goes.
