I bent both left wheels on my 04 the other day. I am really worried that It did more damage than to just the wheels. I am praying that my suspension is okay. Darn dome reflectors!!! Never saw them coming. Hit them at about 35-40 MPH. Insurance is paying for wheels but I'm going to just scrap the chrome stockers for a set of new wheels and keep my tires. (which I just bought) I am worried to death about my suspension though. I have heard that the suspension on these cars are pretty fragile. Anyone know what else I might have damaged?? Any input would be appreciated as I am not that familiar with suspension. And also what wheels should I go for? I cant find any that I like that will fit.

How many miles do you have on your car? Might not be a bad idea to have your alignment checked when you get your new wheels put on.

:iagree: just have an alignment done when you get the new wheels, they should tell you if anything else is damaged, because it won't align right if something else is bent.

I plan on getting the car aligned when I get the wheels. But I just wasnt sure if that would show all the damage to the suspension or not. I have already started the claim and they are making the check out to me so i dont think i'll have the ability to have a supplement done if anything else is messed up. I hope nothing serious shows up later on down the road. And I have 42,000 miles.

What the heck is a dome reflector?

Its a reflector that is encased in a dome that Ive never seen before until I moved to GA. I hit them one time @ 90 mph + and wasted a week old alignment. This is my second encounter with these things.

for the cost of having insurance fix any suspension issues you are better off going with a pedders package and paying for it yourself.

Had something happen when my wife goosed the car and it spun out of contral in to a tall curb, broke one wheel, bent the crap out of the other. Bent a tie rod. These days tie rods seem to be hard to come by, so good luck.
Found out a month after I got it back from the shop that a wheel hub was damaged....luckily the insurance picked it up after the fact...but it was a hassle.

That sucks. I hope it doesnt turn out like that for me. I just got my new wheels today. I'm gonna have them mounted first thing tommorrow morning. TSW 17's. Not the greatest but I think they'll look OK and I can re-use my tires which are only a month old minus a few small burnouts.

Tommorrow I'll try and figure out how to post some pics of the wheels on the car.

Car aligned perfectly!? Go figure! I was expecting it to be all outta whack after seeing how bad the wheel was bent.
