2006 OEM 17 Backspacing Change?

I talked to an 06 owner that said he didn't have to worry about strut rub because the 06's have a different backspacing.
I have NEVER heard this and want to know if it's true.

Have no proof either way however, myself.

I want to see a picture of the back of the spokes of a 17" rim with a backspace number other then 48. :judge:

I have 04 rims on my 06 and they have the same clearance
