Ok GTO family, I need a little help. I am undecided on whether or not to get 18's or 19's? What I need from you guys/gals is a side shot of your cars with 18's or 19's AFTERMARKET wheels. Also, please write what size rim, width and tire sizes you are using front and rear and whether or not you had to modify any fenders to do it. I know this is a lot to ask but it would be extremely helpful in my deciscion making.

dude. i worked on this everyday for 2 weeks. really simple. 19's look sick. the car is huge and needs 19's. anything bigger is ghetto style, but 19's are perfect. mine will be on next week. i'll post pics. my car is lowered an inch to, so it will look unreal.

I had a few questions on this stuff too...
About how much do HSV VX GTS 19's run for full set with nice tires? What are the widest tire you can get on the HSV VX GTS?
Also, how much did it cost you guys to lower your goat? I was thinking going pedders with 1" front, 1/2" rear. What would I have to do to eliminate rub probs?

Rear fender lips/rear wheel well lips I did that for 2 other sets of rimms before these.
I'm positive I could have these on without cutting, drag bags are only for reducing squat of stock springs not for clearance.

Not to highjack this thread (this is kind of related), but has anyone tried to put on 275/35/19s on a car after all the clearance issues with 275/30s have been resolved (quarters already rolled or trimmed, etc)?
Basically, will the extra height make it rub anew?

The height of the car makes much more impression than the size of the wheels. That super thin strip of rubber on large wheels looks rediculous in my personal opinion. 19s aren't super bad.. just really cut back on tire selection and increase weight and price.
Race cars on 18s look like they have gigantic wheels because they fit aggressively. No the tires barely clear the fenders.. stick out a touch when sitting still.
These are 18s maybe a touch too aggressive.. but look awesome..

I was thinking the same thing. Because that big ass rear quarter panel hanging down over the rear wheel makes it look smaller than the front. It just doesn't look symmetrical with the same size rim on the front and back.

I noticed GT OH had to do nothing to get the 19s to fit on an 06 GTO, but what about a 04 I still cant believe you got a 19 in that wheel well with no modifications. If you did mod what did you do?

I couldn't find a decal kit. Where?
I had to do custom paint.
I saw a couple on e-bay that look pretty nice I like being able to reverse things I do to my car if I don't like it.

I love those Axis Milano's on the QSM. I know they have been discontinued, but are still available through places that still have them in stock. Anyone know what the offsets and tire sizes are on this QSM, and if he had to do any fender rolling or cutting to get them in there? I believe its 19X8.5 all the way around.
But these you can

These are also sexy on QSM

If I had a QSM, I would get these, tho

here's my QSM with some beyerns they are 18's used to have black araille(i think they where on the car when I got it) 18/19's on it. I switched to these because I couldn't find any drag radials in 19's. On these beyerns I have 245 nitto 555's in front and 285 nittor drags radials in the back my finders where already cut for the 19's(they had 275s) these new one clear perfect, I have drag bags with about 10 psi in them in the pick it raises the back .25-.5 inches up.

I know it doesn't show the whole car but it's the closest to a direct sie view that I have
http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t44/lt1formula2 000/ABCD0013.jpg
I guess this one kinda shows how the tires do stick out a little from the back but you can see they will tuck inside the top of the fender opening

Hate to post in so late but, here's a look at the 20" Concept Neeper's that came on the used '04 I bought 2 months ago. Running on Nanking 225/35ZR20 rubber. They totally make the look of the car and function well too. I hammered it at the local BOP drags, and on the road with no rub or anything. Speedo appears to be off about .06, but that's about it.

Did you have to roll your fenders to get these to fit? I'm thinking of going with this size. Thanks.

Those rims fit the car like shit. We call that Bowlegged and just because the bolt pattern is right doesn't mean they fit:judge::judge::judge:
I understand the ignorance yall' got down in georgia. We call that drifter style, flushies, or just plain sic!!! streched tires and super tight fender clearance looks awsome, it handles awsome, and makes the car supper predictable in the twisties.

I'm with Indy. It looks like it needs a lower aspect ratio'd tire for one. Two, gotta have more offset to the rears. That "deep-dish" look to the rear rims is great look.
The smoke'd glass looks great with BOM tho.

The fenders barely rubbed with this set-up, so yes I had to take the fenders down some. I did choose to grind them rather than roll. No problems.
