A couple of questions on the 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 wheels.
How many inches deep are the lips?
Who else sells them besides Top Shelf & Wheelmax?
What's the deal with the clearcoat peeling away?
If i go this route, which i am not sure of after reading about the crap clearcoat, I don't really want to buy them from wheelmax or Sean after reading some nasty feedbacks on both.
Worst comes to worse, i will go with the Ruff 279's and call it a day. I kind of want to give the AZA Z1's a chance before i make a final decision. Just need a little more info on them.

use wheelmax. i did last week and it was a perfect transaction. the lips are very deep on both front and back. it seems like the clearcoat issue is resolved. go for it.

Proceed with caution my friend...
I was ready to pull the trigger on the AZA's from Wheelmax too...
Then I read some of the feedbaack here on the forum on their customer service.
Do a search on Wheelmax and judge for yourself.

18's staggered just because the roads are not the best here but I have seen both and they all look good on these cars.

Don't like my Z-1s. The quality is just crap. I've had stock wheels maintain a better finish than these, with less than half the care, and more than triple the abuse.
Sean was supposed to be seeing if I could get new ones under warranty, but I'm doubting that will happen now lolz.
Look into another wheel.

Had no issues with wheelmax. Had one of my rims get dinged and had a new one in 3 days with no issues. Havent had an issue with peeling and have had them for 8+ months now!

Dude....not really. They LOOK fabulous...they really do.
However, they really are pretty shotty in terms of quality. I have these tiny black dots all over the clearcoat in mine that have gotten progresively worse over time. I mean, you can't see them until you get close, but fact of the matter is I have NEVER had this problem with even stock wheels before, let alone aftermarket ones. And these things were like 8 months old by the time I started noticing them.

So no one knows the size of the lip on a 19x9.5 wheel? 3"?
I would stay as far away as possible. Still have the shitty ass clear coat peeling ones and have been on the list for warraty shit for months. Hopefully you guys who just bought them don't have any issues as mine just sit here getting worse and worse with no resolution.

DO A SEARCH ON WHEELMAX BEFORE YOU BUY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They have a BBB rating of F!!!!!!!!!!
Theres a reason the BBB gave them the worst rating they can give!!!...They dont do it for fun.

Thank you. I also want to thank everyone else who responded. I think i will go with the Ruff 279's and stay away from these.
The lip is bigger on the Ruffs anyway:)

Thank you for the compliments. I sold the axis milanos to a good buddy of mine here on the forum. I really liked the Milanos and got alot of props with those wheels. I want a wheel with a deeper lip. The milano wheels didn't have that deep of a lip. Fron't were 1.5" and the rears were 2".

You actually recently ordered them and got them? I have been waiting for my warranty replacements for almost 14 months. I called again a few days ago and they said they were not in still.
As for past problems with them being resolved, dont count on it even the new "head" of the company stopped replying to me after a couple emails when I was trying to get some resolution to my ongoing problem, and yes I was way past nice to him.

Yes I got them no problems but I was up front with the salesman based off some of the past forum postings no funny business. the wheels look great/ fitment is good. It seems this company is Dr jekyll Mr Hyde!!!!!

man....im kinda pissed about my situation because my AZA's have some black dots all on them....but you....not even having wheels THAT YOU PAID FOR....is just absurdly ridiculous. I would be so fuming I'd have steam coming out my ears...
The crappy thing is too that wheelmax I imagine probably wouldnt be able to do much for you,as you ordered them through topshelf and not them.
Boy....you must be a loyal and satisfied TopShelf patron! Freeking SUCKS man....I wouldnt be able to deal with that

We will see... supposedly Top Shelf told me way back when that Wheelmax is the warranter for all of them even those bought thru top shelf since they are the distributor. Wheelmax already "approved" my claim almost a year ago.... now lets see if they remember it

what rear offsets did you guys order... I am assuming they are both 18" 9.5 hyperlights... did you get 40 or 45?
multistrada74
10-08-2007, 12:33 PM
rears are 45 bro.
shawnz28
10-08-2007, 12:58 PM
Yeah they told me they did not have them in silver still in the 45 offset rears but had 40s so I was just checking you all got the right size.... Anyway but managed to get a set in black, so with luck I will have them in about a week and this will finally be over
edit multistrada74- just noticed you got the 19s that explains yours
