i wanted to start a thread for everyone to post their 1/4 miles times. this way it will be easy for everyone to read and compare. im really interested to see the time variations for stock GTOs and see if we have any "freaks" out there.
please state what work you have done, or stock. temp, humidity, tranny, any other pertinent info, etc etc.

How in the world did you pull off a 1.91 60' on a 38 degree day with street tires? Thats pretty impressive.

Lowered the tire pressure down to 20lbs and slipped the clutch out quickly then floored it is the best way to describe it. This technique allowed for minimal wheelspin. The car had around 900 miles I guess. Now it's up to 1800 miles.

Here they are. If nothing else, I'm damn consistent. Compare the first and third runs. Temp (not positive, but think it was around 72-75 and humidity was high (dew and fog) traction wasn't happening. Tire pressure: 20psi. 93octane. Full gas tank. Everything that came with the car, was in the car. Plus my wife's bowling ball and bag in the trunk. Laugh if you will, but it would have been even funnier to see a woman's bowling bag sitting all by itself in the lot.

Here they are.
Nice job. Good to see consistent runs. I took the youth group to the 1/8th mile tonight and ran consistent 8.20's and 8.30's at 85-86mph. Got some low 1.8 60's too. Sent a few Stangs and Cobras home, but got walked by a couple of Super Stock guys.
Looks like maybe one more night this season, then it's garage time to add a few tricks :secret: for next Spring. :)
Oh, and for the thread, my best is in my sig, 12.216 @ 112.90, 1.759 60' (7.831 @ 89.67 1/8th).

What blows my mind is: my times for 1000' and 1/4 on runs #1 & #3 were IDENTICAL to the thousandth ... yet, my trap speeds differed by 8 hundreths. hmmmmm

The first time I went out to the 1/4 mile I pulled eight runs. I was able to get it from 14 sec at 100 mph down to 13.503 at 105.3 ish mph. With that trap speed I should be in the lower 13s but traction was an issue and my 60 ft was 2.1 so if I can get more traction and drop the 60 ft to 1.9 or less then I should be there! Mods are in the sig!

Didn't you say someone would call BS... well.. I had to be the first one :gr_jest: . Congratz bro! Let me know when your gonna hit the track again. I have a few more things I want to try. Even if I don't pull good times, i'm interested to see how it does if I launch differently.
Padre, it was E-town. For some reason I always get good times there. Only downfall last night was the left lane. I was pulling 13.6's at 84mph... :eek2: . I seems others were getting screwed up MPH's too..

First time post...first time with Goat last night at Etown
Initial three runs were 14.0, 13.84, and 13.81
Iced intake for 90 minutes...
Track temp - 50 degrees/55% humidity...then
60 Foot 1.977
330 FT 5.639
1/8 mile 8.630
1/4 mile 13.379
MPH 104.15
Icing the intake is worth 3-4 tenths and almost 3 MPH. My last run was off with a 1.911 60-foot, and 5.592 at the 330 mark, but third gear wasn't where I thought it was...still ran 13.69 @102.84

Ive only had that one pass with a 1.9 60. Ive been doing a 3000 rpm launch with a full clutch release. A good burnout seems to help alot. Keep at it, you will find the "sweet spot".
