The idiots at Cadillac's marketing department had absolutely no clue how to merchandise Team Cadillac.

I was at Laguna Seca on Saturday and Sunday -- the two busiest days of the ALMS weekend. Cadillac marketing had a tent there -- with nobody in it. There were more marketing guys standing around than potential customers. It was pathetic.

To make matters worse, instead of getting off their butts and walking around telling people that the XLR-V, STS-V and brand new CTS were on display -- they, again, just stood there and did nothing. No heart. No enthusiasm. No effort. Just mailing it in -- and a great, great racing program gets knocked off because of it.

There are plenty of people who are ready to bash the UAW as a bunch of lazy, overpaid idiots every time they get. I've got news for you -- there are many more lazier, overpaid idiots working in RenCen.

Rumor has it Mike McCann, who drove a Viper last year, bought two of the Team Cadillac CTS-Vs and will run both of them this year -- with former Team Cadillac driver Andy Pilgrim driving one of them. Hope so. Those are terrific looking and sounding race cars.

If the Teams continue to race and win regardless of what's said by the Marketing Dept, Cadillac will eventually see the light.

Rumor confirmed. Andy Pilgrim and Mike McCann will indeed be driving Cadillac CTS-Vs -- with Remington shaving products sponsorship:
