Has anyone noticed in the gto manual section 2-18 the instructions to over fill the oil by 1 quart for high performance driving.Also many sections of manual give poor instructions .note section 3-32,does anyone have an oil pressure light come on at start up per the manual/How about a fuel light section 3-35.

also who can tell me the bolts that need to be torqued in the tranny on early production dates or are we talking clutch pressure plate bolts? my tranny is very notchy and seems to be getting harder to shift fast.

Overfill the oil? I haven't read the manual. Maybe I shouldn't.

Check the last 6 of your VIN. So far no one with a VIN higher than 193XXX has seen a problem. It sounds like it was fixed somewhere around there.

Mine is 193907 and is going into the shop tomorrow to be checked out.....

If anyone has their GTO taken in and told it's ok let us know. It's always good to hear both the no problems as well as the problems.
