I just ordered 2 new tires to replace my old tires. I had just gotten 2 new tires from the dealership 2 months ago so i am moving those to the front. I just ordered 255/45ZR17 BFG KDWS direct replacements for stock. I figured for a few bucks more I would go with a 255 instead of the stock 245. Has anyone noticed any better traction with the 255? I know there is not a huge difference between the two, but ill take any advantage I can get :wiggle:

I wouldn't waste my time with the KDWS', just get stock sized ps2's.

well I only need 2 new tires.... The dealership gave me 2 new tires 2 months ago. I eventually wanna get new rims but thats just not financially in the cards right now. By the time im ready to replace these, I will be looking at a whole new wheel and tire option. I do wish these tires were a bit stickier. But im pretty much stock and will remain that way for atleast another year or so. So, I dont need anything insane.

You meant 255/45 right? Cause you wrote 255/25 in your title which would be one low profile tire that I am not sure exists. I had thought the 255/45 ran a much easier chance of strut rub, don't know if it's just in front or both.

first of all...check your aspect ratio. Its 45, not the 25 you stated in your thread title.

Stick with stock size for now, so you can still rotate tires. 245 to 255 isn't much of an increase

+1, if you're not going to get at least 265's then stay with the stock tire size.

I know, I tried to go back and correct the title. If you notice in my thread i stated 45 not 25. my bad... Im planning on getting new wheels soon, that why I thought why not go with 255's on the back. I got the front tires for free from Yates pontiac. The rotation thing is something I didnt consider, but I drive less than a mile to work everyday. I dont put on a ton of miles.
but good points. thanks everyone.
