Interesting, doesn't look half bad either IMO.

I was going to ask why someone why would decide to stick the ugly stock rims from a GTO on anything, but they actually look better on the Trans am. :dunno:

Slightly similar to the WS6 wheels I think.

and for the record, i like the look of the stock 17's, they're just a bitch to clean

I thought the hub bore was too small for the f-bodies?

It is, but people grind them out.

My orginal wheels/tires are on a Trans Am also. He said it took 10 minutes to dremel all 4 wheels since it was a very small difference and hasn't had a problem since. Been over a year now with that setup on.

Why? T/As and Z/28s came stock with a 17x9 and a 275 rear tire. It might look good, but it makes no sense to me.

I agree....I think the stock 17's and 18's are very good looking. I think they fit the look of the car. That IBM, in another post, with the gold BBS mesh wheels looks HAWT!

I think only the Camaro SS and Trans Am WS6 came with the 17X9 wheels.

The 17" GTO wheels still don't do anything for me. That's why I have Drift-R's on mine.

TA's and Z28's came with 16" wheels. SS, WS6, Firehawk, and Comp TA's got 17" wheels.

Not everyone wants to shove massive meats under the rear of the car

My buddy sent me that pic so i went and got another buddys old gto wheels and realized the hub bore was too small and didnt feel like messing with it, but they still dont hold big enough tires for me so didnt really bother me

Not bad at all and an improvement over stock TA rims.

The regular TAs and Zs came with 16x8 245s, some of them even had 235s.

The words flower power always come to mind when I see those wheels.
