Front tires worn down to the steel belts. Under 10K for milege wear the same on both sides. Put on new tires while car is on the lift left side has rrom right side is right up against the strut and is hard to spin wheel. Place car on the ground the left is the same the right pulls a little bit away from the strut but is still to close to the strut. Tech feels it needs a 14mm camber bolt kit. Funny thing is that someone has placed a spacer between the hub and wheel which I believe may have been added to give it more room. Besides an alignment is the the best course of action or do I need additional parts?

Thats negative camber son.
Its a good thing (for handling). Alignment should clean you up. If it wont align or settings wont keep then you need to look at strut top bushings etc.

My 06 ahs the same issue. Dealer made me a deal on tires knowing they have a problem. My car has 28k on it and they are buting 2 tires and I am buting 2. It will cost me $300 which is a decent deal with the mileage I already have on the tires.

You did well, I went to the Dealer last week with similar wear on the inside of the tires. Burned up the stock tires in 11K Miles. Dealer blew me off and told me that I waited to long to bring it to them. They said that if they had seen it before 7K miles they might have done some something. I ended up buying a new set of wheels and tires myself and then paying for a 4 wheel alignment...

We aligned the car added 14mm camber bolts and all seems well. This tire was almost a 1/2" off!!!
I will scan my alignment report soon and post it here.

Could be..not sure if its the strut mounts or radius bushing....both sides did the same. How many busings are in the front? Is their a kit for the front bushings? Has 47K

+1
I feel your pain. Although having new wheels and tires before I planned on it isn't too bad.:driving:
