you take a wood baseball BAT, put it between your tire and fender, move the car forword or back and you will roll and widen your fender.

but i wouldnt recomend doing it to a 30k car, if it was a honda or something go right a head.

back before the days of the handy fender rollers that's all we had to use. I remember doing it on an 993 and just thinking "oh shit" :D


That said, i've probably baseball batted 20+ cars...only had an issue once on a 3 series that rippled.

I've seen about a dozen cars use a fender roller, and have seen all types of problems w/ paint cracking.

baseball bat method=very crude but very effective way of rolling a fender.

I agree with an earlier post. Probably not something I would do on this car, but if it was a beater honda maybe.

If you want visual instructions, just watch about any NASCAR race out there and wait for somebody to hit the wall. Car goes in the pits and the crew either hammers out the fender or they grab the trusty baseball bat and roll the car forward and back.

Cubs fans have been banging their head against walls for ever. I figure fender rolling would be easy for them. :wall:
