They dont acctually sell tunes, just the software and manual to do it. If you have any questions for them specifically on a tune they have an awesome board on their site just for technical tuning questions.

I know but I was wanting to know what kind of adjustments some of the other guys were making with good results you know....So I could kind of do the same....but I'll move my discussion to Hptuners.com

So far I just lowered my fan temps, disabled CAGS, and disabled cat overtemp.

WOOO HOOO... Can your GTO go 200+ MPH??? I don't know if the engine could push me that far but if it could there would be nothing stopping me :D
I got the Governer raised to over 200 today, along with lower fan start up temps... and deletions of a few pesky codes.... HP tuners Rocks... and my goodness does that software work incredibly fast... the auto tap is freaking lightning fast, and it took about 30 seconds to write the new data to my PCM.

The tuner package with the scan feature (auto tap like) is $500, they supply the software and the hardware to connect with your laptop. It is real simple to use, it takes about 4 minuets at first to read your PCM, and then it takes only about 30 seconds to update changes. It also records your stock application so you could always turn it back to stock when ever you want to.
Being able to change and monitor anything for $500, fast, and reliable (such a if the computer gets intrupted in the middle of writing it wont fry the PCM like other products out there, ithas a built in safety feature.
Very nice indeed :D

Mainly for late night street races... not togo 200, I know that wont happen, but most cars are cut off anywhere around that, it would be nice once I am spraying to be able to go at least 160 if I have to. I just hate to be limited.

I know Keith from HP Tuners (he's a member of the F-Body community) and we were messing around with my truck the other night as they are trying to get the PCM read from an 8.1 and Allison combo.
Anyway, like mentioned it'd take 4 minutes to initially read, he'd adjust stuff I wanted adjusted, he'd download it back to my PCM in 30 seconds and I'd be on my way to test it out. While we were driving, he'd make modifications from my comments and we'd stop and he'd download again in 30 seconds.
So it's a good product and a viable alternative to LS1Edit.
If I was to buy HP Tuners for the GTO, would I be able to use it on other cars -maybe with soemthing like an upgrade to the software- or would I need to spend another $500 dollars?

If you have a single vehicle type version, you can add an additional vehicle type for just $399 at any time you like. We will send you out new software as an upgrade that you can install over your existing software. No need to send back your interface cable.
