Walther P22:

Ordered it from my local gun dealer this afternoon after work. Only put $100 down, i'll pay the rest when it gets in. The main reason I wanted a .22 is because I wanted something "cheap" to shoot, and my HK .45 USP Compact is NOT cheap to shoot lol. I just wanted something I could have some fun with and play around with. And if it gets messed up I won't be pissed or anything lol.

Anyway, any of you all have any thoughts on the Walther P22? I called up the dealer and told them I wanted that color scheme too. For some reason I just don't like all black handguns. I prefer to have a stainless slide, but this will be my first "colored" model (my HK has a stainless slide). Anyway, discuss :):D

i have a PPK-S. i got it like 20 years ago because i was kind of a james bond fan in the younger days. 380 is sort of cheap too.

that is the first pistol i ever shot. i was maybe 6 or 7 years old. so it's gonna stay with me. i let a chrome plated version slip through my fingers about two years ago when grandpa died.

here's mine with his friend's. It was my grandfathers so I don't want to do anything to it. it's also in like 95% condition

I'd love to get another to actually shoot and do stuff to, like change the sights!!!!

+1

Also, have you held one yet? The gun was a bit too small for me. Ever look into a Beretta U22 Neo? Nice piece.

Yeah I held it at the dealer today. It's a "tad" on the small side, but I like the way it feels. I almost got the Sig Mosquito though until I saw the Walther. I liked the feel of the Walther better. The Sig was almost as big as a full size, and I didnt want that.

Also, I found out that its pretty easy to get a silencer for the P22 as well (just found that out less than an hour ago) so that has my interest as well. I've always wanted a silenced pistol lol. Only problem is I'm not really sure where to look for the silencer and threaded barrell (I didn't order the one with the threaded barrell).
