Hey everyone. Once the weather is better and all the salt and shit has faded from the roads, I think I'm gonna invest in some 19's for my ride. I'll be keeping one pair of the 17's for drag wheels, so traction isn't my first concern here. I'm just trying to figure out what wheels I want and I have it narrowed down to two pair:
Axis Hiro

AND
Axis Milano

I've seen the Milano on a few cars and like them, and LOVE the lip, but either wheel would offer that. I think I like how the spokes are a bit thicker on the Milano, but the fake rivets aren't my first choice. On the Hiro, I like how its a bit smoother and the center cap layout is nice, but not sure about the 'Axis' stamped into the spoke just yet.
Which would you go with?
It's for a QSM 06 with SAP

Milano, I think it's a better looking wheel in the first place, and it doesn't have "Axis" stamped on the spoke.

I went with the 19" Milanos. It took quite a bit of fender rolling in the rear. But they look sweet and turn heads. I put BFG KDWs on them. Got a lot of compliments on the HRPT. I got mine on eBay for a steal. Under $800 for the set. One thing tho....see those holes in between the lugs? Put some silicone sealant in there if you get them. Otherwise water gets in there and rust off the rotors dribbles out and splatters on that beautiful rim. Mine came with blank caps in addition to the "AXIS" logo ones. Been thinking about getting Pontiac stick-on logos for the blanks.

Milano, because like stated, that stamped AXIS is a turn off.
There is a PBM with milano's that looks kick ass.

Anyone have pics of the hiros on a QSM and do they make both sets of rims staggered?

I don't like the rivets either, but I still think the Milanos look much better.

Enclosing some more pics. In regards to the staggering...I know it looks hot but...there is NO way it will fit. Mine are not staggered and the amount of rolling required to avoid rubbing on the outside was as much as you could do without significant re-fab of the wheel well.

Definitely the Milano's... There is nothing wrong with the rivet look... As for the Hiro's... not a bad looking wheel either if it just didn't have that large AXIS on the spoke....

Damn, those are helping me a lot.
Thanks!

The Milanos will look better, I had them. Also, don't expect the lip to be as deep as you see it in the pics the wheel company shows you. The GTO backspacing will give you just a 2" deep lip up front and a 2.5" lip on the rears.

Wow, Milano FTW!
Do you guys not like the Hiro in general, or just not as much as the Milano?

I was searching for wheels with a muscular look. The Hiro's spokes appear more rounded and thinner. The logo is distracting and cheap looking. I would have preferred to not have the fake rivets. But...the Milano was the closest thing to what I was looking for.

Some things to consider...
The Hiro's have thinner spokes and will show more of your braking area, so if your rotors/brakes show signs of wear, I would lean towards the Milano's.
I'm not a big fan of the stamped 'Axis' either, but I do think they are better looking wheels...
Is it just me or do the Milano's resemble the factory 18's? They do look sweet though...
So because of the Hiro's 'Axis' stamp...I vote Milano's!
