Hello, I was wondering if the lip portion of the AZA Z-01's can be polished?? I dont want to go rubbing metal polish on them and take off any kind of finish that may be there. Id like to get more of a chrome look on the lip if possible, but its not a must if it sacrifices the integrity of the wheels. Thanks!!

I think that the lips on the 18s are clear coated

So, any good suggestions for making them look nice and purty?? Im assuming since there is clear coat on them, you can apply a good wax??

Yup. If you are brave, you can try polishing them with a fine polish like 3M finess-it, but if the metal under the clear is dull then it wont really make a difference. A sealant would be better for the wheels, since it is more durable and can withstand the conditions better. Look for a carquest near you and get duragloss 105 sealant and dg aquawax for after a wash.

Im gonna do a mist and wipe detailer, then a good coat of ICE. I plan on going to Zaino next spring. Im hearing all kinds of good things about it....

Zaino is overrated. You can get similar, or better, results with something cheaper. Zaino is a good sealant, but the whole system that they make you use is a BIG waste of money.

Just get a good sealant like Duraglos 105/111, Optimum Opti-seal, Chemical Guys 109, Klasse, or Collinite 476s and you will get the same protection and durability without spending a whole day putting down 500 coats. Top it with a quality carnauba wax like DP Maxwax, Megs #26, surf city garage, souveran, etc...and you will get even better results.

Heres my car with #26 over chemical guys ez-creme glaze over a 5month old layer wolfgang sealant

I picked up wheelwax last month from advance autoparts and it works great!!! It was recommended by a friend of mine to keep the brake dust down and it works great to keep the salt from sticking to the rims....enhanced the finish a lil bit too..
