I'm looking at the setups I would like and I was thinking 19x10 275 tires in the rear and I wanted to do the pedders kit that lowers the rear about 0.75" I think. I don't want to do too much more than roll my fenders. Is this setup asking to much to not have any rubbing?

As long as you get wheels with a custom offset you should be ok. Give CCW a call.

With a wheel that wide, you'll need to get backspacing spot-on and the rear-end centered, or you're going to run into trouble (rubbing).

I've been wondering the same thing... what do you think about a 45 offset

I doubt a 45mm will work. The factory wheel is 48mm with a narrower tire. I don't know if you would rub on the inside with a larger offset but the tire you are talking about is 30mm wider than stock.

You are going to need a 53-55 mm offset. A 275 tire has a section width of 10.9 approx. This will put 3.28'' to the outside and 7.62" inside with a 55mm rim. Probably going to need a hammer on the inside or adjust with spacers.

CCW has custom offsets for this... I would go with a 9.5" wide wheel and 52-53mm offset. Call up CCW or someone that has made custom offsets for the GTO before and get some help. If you want to do this with minor modification to the fenders and whatnot you better do lots of research!

Yea.. 10" 45 offset will turn your fender into a bump stop.

^^ Sorry to bring this back, but no rub w/o air in the bags? And did you go with Airlift's bags? I'm looking to run this same setup. Also, how do the spacers work? Does a machine shop have to do that?

Bag It, Roll It With A 48 Offset And You'll Be Fine ....don't Lower It

Yeah, you are asking a lot. If you go with somewhere around 50mm offset, roll/grind the fenders, and limit drop to 1/2" you might have a chance (but no guarantee). I'd seriously consider a 9" wide wheel though, it'll fit better. A 275 tire will fit fine on a 9" wheel.

hmmm, well I'll TRY the Eibachs, if they don't fit, I'll see if I can get some Pedders 0" drops for the rear maybe.
I have rolled fenders right now, and my Pedders 4/16" raise springs rub a bit on dips along the freeway. I also have rear tires that are too tall (35 profile), so the 30 profile tires will be needed. They're pretty bald anyway.
My goal is handling more than looks.

10s will not be a problem if the offset is correct, and the rear cradle is centered
Heres Oh4GTO's car with 10in CCWs and a 1.25in pedders drop

I'm running a 19x10.5 wide rear with a 40 offset, 265/30/19 tire, ground fender lips, no rubing any where. stock suspension no bags, did a bunch of hard driving, and going in and out of lots of driveways and had passengers. works awsome looks awsome.

i will soon, i really need to wash it, the weather here in seattle keeps threating rain. my internet access is really limited, most the time i'm on here at lunch at work. alot of you guys are probably gonna send hate post about how that looks stupid too and the tire is just to small for the wheel ect... but i will post some real soon, i've been wanting to, i think it really looks good, and it handles better than the old stockers so i'm happy.

wow 10.5 no rub thats crazy...guess some cars are different
i'm running 9.5 Ruff's cut fenders and still get rub. cant wait to get pedders installed, its crazy where mine rubs and only rubs under really hard accel and bumps, it squats so hard it rubs where the back bumper cover meets the rear fender. i'm getting tired of the inner tire wear also hope the pedders will help that too... if i could do it again id get the ccw 505's they have to be the best looking imo but its hard to pocket $2500 for them then add tires but again you get what you pay for!

Come on dude. No rubbing? It's because you haven't hit a large enough bump to put the tires into your fenders (which in your case will result in tires 2, fenders 0) I originally deicded to skip posting so I didn't sound like a jerk, but I did go out and re measure my car again:
As I was suspecting while measuring my car yesterday for the umpeenth time, your 265s stick out about an inch past the fenders. Only way that won't rub is if someone took a sawz-all to your fenders and simply removed about 2" around the tire.
Don't wanna be lame, but I do wanna make sure that others don't read you posts and think that your setup will work correctly...

I have 18x9.5's out back with 275's on them. Pedders 5/16" raise springs and rolled fenders. No rubbing here, even with a full load and going over bumps, but I have VERY little clearance.

^^^ I Agree ^^^
Those wheels are hangin way to far out of the fender well.
You definately rub with that set up..........

You must have some STIFF springs for this not to slam into the quarter panel! This is not a good offset

Don't wanna be lame, but I do wanna make sure that others don't read you posts and think that your setup will work correctly... this setup does not rub,, full throttle up shifts, hard cornering, in and out of driveways, gas stations, (at 160mph maxed out down the freeway, if you hadnt tested yours yet) and it works correctly form and function. i've had my 280lb buddy in there under hard accel. driveways, bumpy roads, fairground parkinglots, ect... not rubbing. i will use a better camera, the lighting in the photo is at night with a camera phone, and in that shot does look like it sticks out father that it does. also these are IRS cars, the suspension travels in an arc inward as the tire moves up.

Well, I am running 19x9 265/30's 3/8" drop Front and 19x10 275/30's 1/2" Back with no rubbing. Fenders are rolled.
I believe only two vendors can offer this set-up:
CCW and ROH
So choose your favorite and go with it.

You're right. I haven't seen how far I can go with mine. Seen how far I could go with my Dad's GTO and the answer was 275 on a 9" 48mm offset rim. Never rubbed but I never really cranked it up to "11" either.
Knock about 25mm off on a fender lip cut from hell, and you're still short about 13mm. I'm aware of the IRS geometry. You can take a pic in any light and I will still say the same thing. Dunno. Maybe the roads where you live are glass smooth. Drive that car in IA and you'll have a $3000 body shop bill after 30 minutes of driving.

before you guys totally are disgusted, let me post some better pics, the one that keeps getting put up is a bad representation, and a bad photo, i took a few more today (in the rain, cause i just washed the car yesterday... in the dry) with regular day light. check it out later around midnightish (seattle time) when i get off of work, and have access to uploading some pics. seems like alot of you guys arnt a fan of real wide wheels and a streched out tire either, with such an agressive wheel tire combo I really need to get it lowered a little, which is next on the list, suck up some of the fender gap.... thnks anyway and check back later

ok i think these are a little better as far as how the wheel fits. the first one the suspension is compressed in the rear (not fully), just a side shot. the second is the car in the same spot, just to give you an idea of clearance. the last one is just at rest on level ground.

I think it looks good. If it doesnt rub, more power to you. I would try to run a wider tire on the wheels but then it might rub. I dont like the stretched look on anything, but its pretty popular over in these parts for running wide wheels/tires.

That looks awesome GTOnate. Really nice wheels. Is there a reason why you went with such a wide wheel?? I am really swaying your way and am looking into buying a set just like those. What kind of wheels are they? Who makes them? Do they make a 9" or 9.5" wheel I can sqeeze into imy wheel well? I refuse to roll, cut or grind my wheel well or fender.
With that being said, I am looking for a 19" wheel and was hoping to wrap them with some 275s (in the rear). Any suggestions? With this setup could anyone point me in the right direction as far as offsets and width goes so I know what to look for. Like I said I don't want to ruin my rear fenders by cutting or rolling. The car is clean and I want to keep it that way.
Any help would be great guys thanks!

^^You'll need at least a +50 offset, and prob. more ike +53-55 is my guess (limited selection for wheels with that offset). I have a +45 and had to roll them. I'm getting the Eibach Pro Kit, so I'll be getting the wheels milled down to another 3mm to +48.
