I recieved a set of chrome lugnuts for xmas after complaining about losing the plastic caps. I was wondering what the recommended torque was on stock wheels? I have looked in the owners manual and havent found any information. Thanks

100 foot pounds.
I am also putting aftermarket lugnuts on my car tomorrow. Done with the cheesy plastic caps.

Anyone have a direct link to what fits stock 17" wheels? Im missing two of the dumb plastic things, and it looks like crap.
Oh yeah, did anyone else know there's a "plastic cover thingy" puller tool in the trunk with the wheel blocks and jack? It fits right over the plastic caps, and pulls them off. I found out after I broke two of them of course...

Just go down to your local tire store (discount) and get 12mm x 1.5 lugnuts.
I never used the plastic cover plucker outer. I used my fingernails.

Alrite sweet. Are those locking ones worth getting? I figured if someone really wants your wheels, they probablly have all the keys for those anyways.

I personally don't run locks but my cars are in the garage at home and are in a secure area at work. If they have time to take my wheels while I am at the store then more power to em. I don't kow too many people that would steal stock wheels.

or they could just smack a socket onto the lock and get it off that way. i had to do that a few times at work cause people lost there keys.
