View Full Version : Trading my drift-r's?

I'm toying with the idea of possibly trading my drift-r's for something different. They are 18x8 all around with the magnesium finish. I would be looking to do a straight up trade. I would be looking for wheels in either a gunmetal, or black finish with polished lips, but no fake rivits. I would like staggered wheels, but non-staggered will be considered. This may be a bust, but it's worth a shot.
Here are a couple of pics of the wheels on the car

I think the drift-r's you got look sick on your car. Any particular reason you wanna change them or is it just time to do something different.

Why not put your stockers back on, then send those wheels to Group A and have the centers color matched to your car? That would look sik.

They'll do that?
I thought it was just for wheels that were going out from them.

Why wouldn't they. I called them up and they actually send a local shop the wheels to be painted. They aren't made in those colors. Hell, you could probably find someone local to you to do the work instead of going through the trouble of sending them to Group-A. Group-A is charging about $500 bucks extra for a set of wheels to have them color matched.

I know they paint the ones they sell, but I didn't think they'd take the responsibility for wheels purchased elsewhere.
I'll just debate about powdercoating mine some more. I know they aren't OE in colors...I have a set.
