Also, I think their are numerous people on the board that have ordered custom wheels and offsetts. I would search around and see what they chose. That will probably be better than my thoughts. Real experience is always better!

so a 42mm in the front 18x8 with 245/40/18 and a 18x9 with a 53mm with a 285/35/18 in the rear would work. i like bfg's for tires but i think they might run to wide so i might have to go with nittos

Still haven't decided on wheels. I am trying to decide between a lot of options right now. keep the 04 and buy an 05. ATI and cam the 04. wheels... Too many options, I don't know what to do.

I just got a set of Aero's in 18x8 and 18x9. Talk with Vincent Wong in marketing. They have done a number of GTO's including mine. I don't know what offsets he used but I like the look. I did however have to have rear fender lips trimmed a bit (60 bucks at Wheel Warehouse) to fit Goodyear Eagle F1 275/35 tires on there. If they had used just a couple more mm offset I would have had no rubbing but I am glad they didn't because I didn't want to give up anymore of the staggared look than I had too. It worked out perfect for me. I suggest you ask him to do use same offsets for you and then just go get the lips trimmed a bit.
