My boss at work offered to sell me the wheels off his 2005 Vette for only $500.00 (wheels only). The problem is , I hear they won't fit on GTOs. Damn, I would hate to pass up a deal like that!!!! Would these wheels fit, and if not why? Too wide? Lug pattern?? Oh, and the wheels are polished aluminum.

Wont fit. Too wide, although you can get the fronts off the C6 on the rear of the Goat.

And the bolt pattern isn't correct. I put a wheel bolt pattern measuring tool next to my stock wheel one day & saw that they were different enough that I wouldn't try it.

I have mixed feelings here. You say the fronts off the c6 will fit the rear of the goat, so they won't fit the front of the goat I suppose? Also, the lug pattern is different? Thought since it was a 5 lug GM vehicle it would fit any GM 5 lug? Damn, I might just have to pass this up :( I am willing to buy another 2 front c6 wheels if they would all fit ok. Oh well :(

nope they wont fit on the front. Binding HARD interference.

To get 100% technical again, here are the two different bolt patterns:
Corvettes (all)--5 x 4.75in. (wheel offsets are different on some gens)
F-bodies (all)---5 x 4.75in. (wheel offsets are different on some gens)
2004/5 GTO (all)--5 x 120mm (offsets same on both years)

Yeah, my answer when I heard the difference. If I had money to burn, I'd try changing the hub/bearings over to 'Vette pieces. If that worked, I'd snag a set of C5 wheels all around.
