In for pics!
What mods do you want to do or can afford?
The most basic ones are exhaust and air filter.
Get a set of lukey extractors, a high flow cat and increase the exhaust piping to 2.5" any fast fit exhaust centre can do the lot for around $500.
A K&N air filter will be around $150 and get a Cold Air Intake system put in.
Not sure how much they are but these are the most basic & cheapest mods and will boost your kW rating a fair bit.

The GTS gets a Callaway built LS1, right?

Your best bet is to try the experts in Australia...go to www.ls1.com.au and search and ye shall find as they say.....

Is the C4B engine the same as an LS6 because the output numbers appear to be identical.
390 and 410 real close to the two versions of the LS6.

The C4B is a Callaway built 5.7l, 346cu, LS1.
They were built for HSV and used in their high spec GTS vehicles from about 2000. (I'm sure I'll be corrected :judge: )
They were marketed as 300kW engines

Why Callaway?? The LS6 was already in the GM parts bin with the same output as the callaway C4B...
It would make sense to use off the shelf GM parts instead having Callaway do the engines up..
What happened?

I don't believe the LS6 was availible at the time Holden wanted to build the cars. The Callaway Tuner version was the best bet at the time. Now, obviously the LS6 or LS2 would only make sense.
Best,
Hey mate,
Ive got a GTS coupe as well , with the heads on it they respond well to cam change, I put in a 232 cam new exhaust and tune , results 309 rwkw .Even with a much smaller cam 280 rwkw are a snap.
