many of you have asked me about this OZ wheel. It is one of OZ's upper/upper end forged wheel. The Galaleo wheel we have done is pricey. But this one is ridiculusly pricey. However, I have 1 set coming next week at a price no one can touch. They are 18" and split configuration to accept a 275/35R18 rear tire. Those of you interested, find the cheapest price you can that will fit a GTO, and tell me what it is. I bet you cannot!! I challenge you.

Here is a link to see the wheel

I think that's one of the best looking rims I've seen on the GTO.

Like I said before Mike...if the BBS wheels hadn't been such a steal I would have been selling a kidney to get these wheels.

I think that an old thread said the OZ Galileo III's were going for $2300 for the rims only back in the day.... Rumor has it that since OZ wheels are selling so well across the country that the prices were going to be raised across the board. I can only imagine what these will be... :eek2:

Before I give out the price, I want someone to qualify what they can get them for. I can tell you the rears retail for almost a $1000 each

GSeaman has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - OZ
Superleggera III in 18" split configuration - in the Wheels/Tires forum of

Here is the message that has just been posted:

tirerack.com has them for $740 and $780 for 18x8 and 18x9.5 respectively. (Now
that's for the BMW 330 which I assume is the same deal.)

My price is much better than that. What are these wheels worth to someone who wants one fo the worlds best qualtiy wheels Will have a set installed on a GTO nextg week, and will give pictures to all to see
thanks

I am not sure of the weight. The Galaleo OZ's in 18" weigh abut the same as the OEM's. These wheels are their racing wheels and would think they re lighter and stronger. Should know this week. Am getting 2 sets of them, one sold for a Barbados blue GTO we have SAP'd

Will weight them and report

thanks

To someone who wants that specific wheel for a goat the dollar amount is probably higher then what they are actually "worth." I would say with tires 2400 is a real number depending on tire brand. Anything higher you could get a nice set of custom wheels (19s) from any number of distributors especially in an 18.

They should weigh slightly less than the stock wheels which isnt bad for a larger diameter wheel, the rears being quite a bit wider also.

Check out this link. It shows a Superleggera 19x8 forged as 21.5 pounds. I would guess that will be close.

Im not feeling those rims. Anything over $2K is worth the extra wait to jump up to CCWs or HREs. :D

i got the wheels today and they are great!!. But my Falkens supplier sent me 275/40R18, instead of 273/35R18 so I could not finish the job. He assured me i will have the tires tomorrow morning, They I can take pictures and show them off

In the meantime, toss one on the scale minus tire for inquiring minds.

We have completed the installation of the 18" Superleggara III wheels and will have pictures of it tonight. Some of you wanted some info on weights. Here it is:

OEM wheel and tire weighs 53.8 lbs
OZ front wheels and tires weighed 49.4lbs 53.2lbs rear
OZ front wheel (18X8) weighs 23.8lbs
OZ rear wheel (18X9) weighs 24.6 lbs

Have more clearance between tire and shock tower than OEM. Again, pictures will be up late tonight

The pics are up on DMS' site! (Sorry to steal your thunder Mike.) :D

They're not quite what I expected.... I think I'm favoring the Galileo III's a little more after seeing these on this GTO. Regardless...they're pretty freakin' sweet.

Congrats to the owner! Barbados, SAP, and OZ wheels....wicked. :bubbrub

Here is the link that shows the OZ Superleggara III wheels on a 04 GTO with SAP in Barbados blue. These are probably the only OZ Superleggara III wheels in the world on a GTO. Another first by DMS. The 04 GTI has the complete SAP package installed. I filled up the first GTO Forums file. This file is GTO forums mebmer #2. Please comment on your opinion of the wheels and tires and SAP. The weight/strenght of these wheels is quite good. They weigh less than OEM wheels and tires. I do have 1 set left, and will not be able to get another set becasue they are ridiculusly expensive. OZ errored on my order of Galaleo wheels, and gave me the Superleggara II wheels for the same price. Tirerack.com sells these wheels for $3500 for a BMW. But they had to be custom made for me by OZ. They also have centering rings for maximum performance and becaseu most GTO owners expect them.

All comments are welcome

All that buildup for some of the ugliest wheels on a gto I've ever seen. Maybe ok if the euro look is what you're after. Just my opinion. I prefer the coddington f22's. When will you have set on a car with some pics? Im dying to see them on a car.

The Boyd Coddigton wheels have to be made. Will probably tke them a month. The are not the fastest suppliers I use.

Sorry you do not like the OZ's. That is why there are so many choices out there for you to choose from

I have had 3 GTO owners/ perspective owners, drive over 50 miles to see these wheels. They all think they are pretty hot. But pricey. but the pricey part I canno help. They are probably the strongest wheel versus lightweight street wheel shown on this board. The wheel and tire is around 5-6 bs lighter than the OEM, and significantly strong. I must admit, however, that DMS likes the more blingy look of the Galaleo OZ wheels. So hopefully within 4 weeks, DMS will have 4 new sets of wheels with the 18" split configuration in our showroom, not to mention the 4 sets I have already for show and tell. Is there any other dealer out there that can say that??
