I was jst fooling around with the wheels off my frist gen Camaro today. Obviously they don't fit, but I wanted to see what it would look like. The specs on the wheel are 17x8 4.5" Backspacing (not sure what that converts to in offset), tires are 255/45-17 Goodyear F1 GS-D3. Enjoy the pics. :)

I really love that wheel. It's too bad getting it on the GTO is such a custom $$$ order.

If someone could just go under there and narrow those axle shafts it might work.

They need to make the Torq Thrust IIs to fit the goat! I would love a staggered set in 18s!!!

Too each his own...but that's far too retro for me.

How bout a set of Torque Thrust II's like off of a Carl Black Firebird or TA? Say maybe 18" or 19"?

Cragar has an updated version of the S/S that also looks good. I have a set of 17's on my GTP. Same problem as the Torque Thrust II's, not made in an offset to fit the GTO.

personally i too think it's too old school to fit the euro-coupe look of the gto.

I was just thinking about those rims and how they would look on one. I think it would be absolutely gorgeous. I would do it in a heartbeat. Obviously bigger size. But those rim's will always look good in my eyes!

I agree - to each his own. I like the TT wheels though.
Regarding "retro" though (not being a jerk here) aren't those 60's style deck stripes considered "retro"?
Again - to each his own but the stripes SCREAM retro far more than the wheels do - IMO...... :wall:

"Euro-coupe"? I though the GTO was based on the Cavalier :gr_jest:

I'm thinking of one of these sets custom offset, drilled 5-120, and hub centric.
