I just ordered Bridgestone Potenza RE960 AS Pole Position tires from Discount Tire Direct and their service was great. I ordered the tires on Tuesday at 1 pm and came home from work and checked my email at midnight and it was shipped out already. I got them via UPS Thursday at 2pm. Very quick shipping that was all free. The tires costed $159 per tire, $22 bucks per tire for free replacement, and $3 bucks per valve stem. Grand total of $736. A Tire Plus store in my area wanted $216 per tire. I'm glad I went on the forums and checked out the site.
There's alot of snow and ice up here in WI and the tires are alright in the snow but the ass end likes to slide around so I threw 3 60 lbs of water softner salt in the trunk and it made a hell of a difference.
So if you guys are checking out tires check out www.discounttiredirect.com

+1 on DTD. I ordered my wheel/tire package from them. Great customer service, shipping, packaging & product.

but then you gotta add mounting and balancing which pretty much adds up to if you just went to a discount tire store...

Tire Rack has slightly lesser prices than DTD but they charge for shipping. That generally makes the price right about the same. Though DTD does carry the Nitto and TR does not so that is a big plus.
Local store prices that include mount and balance do not even come close to DTD and TR prices after you add in the cost for mount and balance.
The four BFG KDW-2 (245/40R18) tires I ordered were 794.00 Mounting AND road force balancing for all four will be 120.00 for a total of 916.00
The best price I could get locally on the same tires, including mount and balance was 1096.00. And they do not do road force balancing.

Word........AND you'll get no help from any local shop if you have a problem. Buy local............it's better in the long run.
