how deep can a tire go in the rear b4 strut rub??

as per the below thread i calculated my placement of the tire in the wheel well...

on a 265/30/19 bfg kdw2
ruff racing 280...offset 48
these measurements will be from where the wheel sits on the rotor inwards...
7.23 inches
outwards
3.74 inches

Now i measured the wheel well depth and it was 12 inches...the thign that im nto sure about is if the 7.23 inches inwards is too much....wouldnt wanna be rubbign on the inside

there are peopel runngin 10 inch ccw's on 275's with a 54 offset or boyd's with a 50 or 53 offset so i have a feeling that 48 oofset will work...just wanna make sure....i have anothe roption of gettin the 45 offset too....does anyoen have a concrete answer???

You won't be anywhere near it with a 48 offset and 265s. I have a 9.5" with a 45 offset and a wide 275, it's not even close. 3mm difference and a narrower tire...you have nothing to worry about.

You will probably need to grind the fenders lips, but the inboard side is not an issue.

yeah i planned on grinding but cant find anyoen that would or coudlo do it... plus im gonan thro kign springs and drag bags

Those KDW 265s are as wide as a Toyo 275. Either way, would will not be anywhere near the inside wheel well.

Maybe one of the Pedders dealers up there can do it. Also check out the high-end body shops.

VQM shaves them 3mm
