Really, they're not that expensive, starting at under a grand for a complete package.

Looks awesome, those wheels get better and better every time I see them. And I liked them on Snafus car when he was the first!

Lowering won't work with the 9.5" rears. If you got the 8.5"s all around with 245/40-18s or even 255/40-18s then lowering should work. 255s & lowering would look awesome!

SHWEEEEEEEET. Man I love those rims. What size tire and rim did you go with?
245/40-18 on 18x8.5" on front. 35mm offset.
275/35-18 on 18x9.5" on rears. 40mm offset.
Although the rears look incredible the way they fill the wheel wells out, I don't recommend going with 275s. I rolled my fenders as much as they would go, and I still rub over large bumps. I suspect that with 4 people in the car it would rub a lot. I recommend going with 265s in the rear if you go with the 9.5 inch rims. If you go with the 8.5" rims in the rear, you should be able to fit up to 285s since the wheel would be 1/2" further away from the fender lip. Remember though that an 8.5 inch wheel is not recommended for 275s or 285s.

The rims are not chromed, they are polished with a mirror finished lip and clearcoated. Lighter than chrome and no worrys about pitting, rusting or flaking down the road.
Rims are AZA Z-1. Tires are Toyo Proxies.

Hey Snafu, do your rears rub at all? Mine still rub occasionally. Not bad but they do rub over large bumps, especially if I'm turning. I can't seam to get anymore clearance between the tires and the fenders.
Thanks again for posting the pics of your car with the wheels on. Once I knew they were available, I had to get them :D

245/40-18 on 18x8.5" on front. 40mm offset.
275/35-18 on 18x9.5" on rears. 40mm offset.
Unless AZA changed their wheels, your fronts (8.5") are 35mm offset. Just an FYI for anyone interested in these...either way, they'll fit fine up front. :)
Well, I got them to stop rubbing as far as I could tell (I would suspect under "spirited driving" they might still rub slightly). I'm not sure if you saw my thread about it, but I realized they sent me the wrong offset for the rears :banghead: (35mm instead of 40mm) so that accounts for some of my issues. My rears are going back for a swap to the 40mm...hopefully the color will match now too.
Thanks for sharing your pics too...I was curious to see them on different color cars...I think I've started a trend here... :gr_devil:

You definitely have! I guess I will check my rears to make sure they are 40mm offset. I could have sworn seeing the inside of the rim marked with the 40mm offset, but it still doesn't make sense that you have 35mm & I have 40mm and I rub and you don't. In a perfect world they should have a 60mm offset and they would fit 285s without rubbing.
Did you get the hubcentric rings? I didn't use them and I just made sure that I centered the rims and tightened them evenly to 80 f.p.t. and they balanced mint. I've gone over 100 without any vibrations. I'm really happy with the quality of the rims.

Thanks Bro, I'm still waiting for my HPTuners to show up sometime this week. Unfortunately I'm going on vaca next week so no tuning until after that. I'm still waiting on a pod to mount the boost gauge so I don't know the boost but I have it turned down all the way which should be 5 lbs.

Yeah, I was stupid and never checked the stamping until later on (doh!) The reason for the different offset is the same reason for the different color...I ordered the day after they got the shipment in from the mfr., they grabbed what was on shelf (from an older batch) and sent it to me. Hope all will be well soon.
The tolerances on our cars seem to be all over the place. Rear passenger side is the worst. How much did you roll the fenders...I only left about 1/4" unrolled and went from the bumper line to body line (9-3 o'clock), so maybe that's part of it. Ahh yes, in a perfect world...
I tried some 73mm-70mm but they wouldn't fit (too big for centerbore of wheel). I'm thinking CSiJason's billet rings will work (72.5mm-68.5mm) as they're designed for BMW wheels. In the meantime, I did just what you said and didn't have any vibration issues.

i have had my aza wheels for 3 weeks now, there is a color diff from front to rear wheel, i finally got wheel max to agree with me that there is a difference in the color, will wait till tommorow to see what they tell me, i told them that your wheels match perfect, from front to rear they tried to tell me it may be the difference in size witch is bs, because me, edge, and snafu have the same size wheels
i cut my fender lips of with a cut off wheel, very slight rubbing on the rear tires, but i have a 265 tire coming to mount up on the wheels, there should be no rubbing at all then. either way they will need to be rolled or cut

I like the stagger look, but don't want to roll the fender much if any and like to be able to rotate as I do put miles on the car and am rough on rear tires. I may be a bit of a wuss for not getting the 275's or even 265's but I think they will still make the car look great.

I think wheelmax owes me some royalties! ;) Seriously, though you'd think after all the business I've gotten them, they'd deal with me better.
If you guys don't mind, would you mention that Sean McCartney sent you their way...I'm trying to resolve some issues with them and they're being stubborn (I started a thread about it if you want details). I'm not discouraging you from buying these...the wheels are great and most don't have any issues...it's just that the returns manager is not easy to deal with even though he knows I've helped them out.
ruquik,
What they initially told me was that they would give me a credit for the color mis-match, then I told them that they sent me the wrong offset, so they're going to switch them for 40mm which will hopefully match (catch is, they refuse to pay shipping :banghead:...it's always something).

is the 18x8.5 only available in 35 offset?
Also, I really like staggered, but my gto is my daily driver. You think it would be crucial to go with 18.8.5 all around? Or would staggered not be a nig deal? And if I go with 18x9.5's, what offset would I want, 40mm?

Yes, 8.5" is only available in 35mm.
Only crucial if rotating tires is a must for you...I had 2000 vette as a daily driver (stock staggered setup)...wasn't a big deal to me.
Yes, if 9.5" then 40mm (it's the largest they make).

So Snafu and egdz06.....if some other fellas ended up with the same rolling stock that would be a form of flattery right? I love the look of those rims. Sets the car off just right. I think the splash gaurds work well with the rims on egdz06's car. Are they textured? Could they be painted to match to integrate them more? Sorry for the off topic....just wondered. Absolutely, go get 'em.
The splash guards are textured and I wouldn't recommend painting them due to their flexability. Even with a flex agent, I think they will end up cracking and looking lik sh it down the road.
I DO recommend getting them though.

They are Made by Holden Service Parts Operations - Part Numbers:
Front Mudflaps VX Commodore SS # 92143000
Rear Mudflaps V2 Coupe Monaro # 92144285
The mudflaps for your GTO will cost you $66.00 plus approx. $20 - 25 for postage.
As far as the rims go, you'll have approximately 10mm more clearance than I which is a little less than 1/2". I rolled about 1/2" from the lips and they still rub a little. I am going to grind away any spots that are still rubbing. It will be close, that's assuming the tires don't run smaller or bigger than my Toyos, some manufacturers run slightly larger or smaller, BFGs larger, Nittos smaller.
I have to say that they will rub, unless you go with Nittos or another manufacturer that runs small.

I'm really surprised that they rubbed. I know this isn't an exact science, but you should have about 22.7mm more clearance than I do. That's almost an inch.
