schufflerbot,
I hope you like it; but I gotta tell you something. My first thought when I saw the picture was, "That's the Aztec of all guns."
Not flaming...JMHO.

Hmmm.. It retails for around 200 bucks for the black .40 version.. hooded front sight, caged rear, I like it. That may be something to add to the "must get" list.

I'm going to stop by my dealer and discuss over :coffee:

I picked one up in 9mm for $135 four or so years ago just for the hell of it. Can't beat the price or the warranty. It's a fun gun for plinking, but not really useful for much outside of that, to me anyways.

That's what I figured.. but, because it's available in the calibre we're issued it probably would be a blast to beat the snot out of it at the range on qualification days.. can't beat free ammo. LOL

i totally agree and for some strange reason, thats one of the things that drew me to it. i like simplicity.

+1 on the ugly, but kind cool in concept.
1. where does the magazine go?
2. what is the brand-X competition in it's market segment?

as far as its competition, i dunno... its a carbine, so anything in that realm would be considered 'in the same field' i guess.
im not a huge gun guy... yet. i have a 12g remington 870 express and now this carbine. im looking forward to checking it out... and if it sucks... $180 isnt that bad to eat.
