Finally got my K31 swiss milsurp rifle. It's a beauty, but very hard to find. Most of the vendors were sold out and there were only about 5 at the whole show, most over 250 bucks!

Finally found this one and was able to talk him down under 200. Looks like they might be getting scarce.

Also got 120 rounds of 7.5x55 swiss ammo sealed in wax bags.

Looks like a nice one! That GP11 ammo is fantastic. I just wish it was as cheap as most surplus stuff. There were not too many K31's at the Chantilly show, they are drying up in a hurry. I know you are more interested in switching stocks and upgrading, but have you checked for the troop tag under the butt plate? People have actually contacted the original owner of the gun. I picked up a Finn M91 and a Finn Dragoon. I was quite pleased with the show.

Nice rifle. Looks like a good investment indeed. Let us know how it shoots.

I've always enjoyed the story, as I recall it, when many years ago the German Chancellor visited Switzerland and commented to their leader that "My German Army is 5 times larger than your whole population. What would you do if we marched over the Alps?" The Switzerland leader responded; "Each of my citizens would fire 5 shots, and go home".

I love being prepared.

The k31 shoots like a dream, I just need to learn how to shoot rifle better because I only shoot pistol.

The recoil was surprisingly manageable.

The story of the german guy was he asked the swiss guy how big his army was and the swiss guy said he could raise a million people in a couple hours. the german guy then asked what would the swiss guy do if he showed up on the border tomorrow with 2 million soldier. the swiss guy replies, my men would fire two shots each and go home.

neat guns, one of my only "cheap" surplus guns that i didn't sell to consolidate calibers. simply an awesome trigger and accuracy for a mil-surp gun that, at the time, i paid $129 for.

would like another but right now i'm busy ammo and magazine hording
