I just placed a order for $30,000 or so in Boyd Coddington wheels for some future DMS projects. I also ordered 3 sets of 18X8/9 split wheels for GTO's. I am pushing this configurtion because they add so much to your handling and traction. You will be able to use a Falken 451 245/40R18 fronts and a 275/35R18 rear. Can also you the Nitto series tires, but not Goodyears

I ordered F08, F09 and the new F22, which you hve to down load the catalog becasue they do not have it on their site yet. Plus, if you down load the catalog, look on page 196 and you will see one of the custom wheels the make for DMS. In fact if you want to order some F08 wheels, can have your intials (3) engraved on the wheel just like DMS!

Check out this link:

I am not sure about pricing yet. Can use everyones input as to what they ae going for and what looks good to you. The 2 pieced forged series can all be made for GTO's.

Give me your opinion pleasee. If you know sites that do GTO style Boyd wheels, give them to me and tell me what they are selling them for.

thanks in advance for the feedback. If you have interest in any of their wheels for the GTO, in 17's or 18's email me. this is a large order for them and there are some discounts I can pass on. Do not wait too long.

c hecking the internet, I think the 18X8 18X9 are going for $520 each plus shipping. entivielty, could do a price of $500 a wheel plus shipping if you ae interested

Do I feel another group buy going on?? If a lot of you wnat ot do it, then could get the price down to maybe $475 each with 5 or more orders. Shipping will probably be 35-40 a wheel as an estimate. These prices do not include locks, lug nuts, etc.

Boyd also gives us some flexibility in finish, from satin, to polish to plated (additional) I ordered the F08 in a polished version to put on a Blue GTO 6 speed coming in soon for sotck. The F08 is a great wheel for my DMS truck vehicles. Have sold lots of them.

Check out the site and tell me what you find on the web

Those are nice... I almost ordered a set of the F08's awhile back but decided against it.

Any luck with getting the F07s with engraving?

I also think the f22's look great. Are they polished? The f09's looked like they had a satin finish, could you get them polished too? When are they due in?

The one great thing about Boyd Coddington is the flexibility in surfact finish. Any of his wheels can hae satin or polished centers. The wheel lips are all polished

The FO7 wheel can be engraved. This wheel looks best polished. I think I have pictures on my web site with the F07's with satin wheels. A very clean look.

I think they will also paint any of the wheels. If you look in their catalog that shows the "DMS" wheel, they have a F07 I think that has been painted black.

Hope this answered all of the questions.

Have not been able to find any cheaper prices on the internet than what I have posted. If you find some, tell me so I can check it out.

thanks

I think the wheels look pretty sweet Mike. (Especially the F22s.)

My wife's gonna kill me if you keep coming up with ways to pimp our GTO's! :-patriot:

That F22 is exactly what I was looking for!!!

I kept posting topics about a wheel that looks like the F430's for the GTO... and I couldn't find any until now.

Wuddya guys think about this: '05 midnight blue w/ 18 or 19 in. F22's, powdercoat the spokes to match the car (midnight blue) and leave the rim polished???

Hey buddy,

Are you back home yet???

I must take issue with "pimp my ride" stuff. There is no doubet we do things different than any other GMC store in the U.S. but I would not call it pimping. Blinging absolutely. But pimping no. I do not think there is anything gawdy about my DMS vehicles or GTO's. Your GTO looks so much more aggressive now than it every did, not to mention it has to handle significantly better than ever before with the 18" BBS wheels and the 245/40R18 BFG KDW tires. Your GTO is a "head turner" I am proud of it as well as I know you are.

I fixed up my new demo today. Fully badged in DMS and no GMC logos at all. Almost got run off the road 2 times because poeple were looking at in and not paying attention. If you are not home, the weather here is great. One of the skimpy outfitted ladys who almost ran me off the road roled down the window and told me my ride was "sick" I almost wanted to tell her from my higher position, her ^&* was looking pretty sick as well, but I thought I would be out of line. There are advantages sometimes being in a fully dressed DMS Yukon

dms Hey Mike...not home quite yet. We were on our way but had to drop off some stuff in Florida. Wouldn't you know...the jet broke. So now we're sitting on the beach in Florida drinking until it gets fixed. Tough life. :D

I completely agree that there's nothing gawdy about DMS project cars. (Sorry if I implied it above.) You guys do some pretty sweet vehicles there that make me wish I got paid a bit more. Can't wait to see the Boyd Coddington's on a GTO!

BTW...any chance of borrowing a DMS vehicle? I'd be happy to drive it around base and give DMS some publicity. :D :hail:

those f22's are awesome i like the idea of anodizing the spokes to match. what would cost be anodized and just plain.

The price to powder coat the wheels will be around $125 each for a "normal" color. A normal color is one they have on hand and use a lot. They can now match just about any paint color using powder coating. But a small job like 4 wheels could add a lot more money depaneding on how much of the color materail they have to buy.A normal 3-5lb container could cost $300-$500 and can go a long way. This is what the Boyd Coddington popele told me today
thanks
