Group-A Wheels is proud to announce its first entry into the SPEED World Challenge Series for the 2008 season. The car will be run by Tony Ave Racing and driven by Australian born New Yorker, Joey Scarallo. After almost winning the entire Trans-Am Championship in 2005 with Tony Ave, Scarallo and Ave will be re-uniting to do it again in World Challenge in 2008.
Group-A East Manager, John Caputo, "This is a great opportunity for us at Group-A to showcase our merchandise and R&D at the types of venues that our clientel are enthusiasts of. As one of the countries largest Toyo distributors we are also very pleased to be racing on Toyo Tires."
Because a Pontiac GTO can not be used since it is no longer in production, a C6 Corvette will be the car of choice to do battle for the GM fans this year.
Look for the Group-A Wheels Corvette in the World Challenge Series this year, as well as updates on the forum and GroupAWheels.com site. The first race is Sebring, March 14th.
