:ftw:Finally got my CCW SP500s on yesterday. Also, I get to show off my new 06 hood. 18x8.5/9.5 without cutting or rolling and they don't rub. I didn't get home in time to get better pics but there is always tomorrow. Thanks Jonathan, Purplenurple, John at CCW and all those w/ CCWs that I asked questions about the wheels.

The ones that came w/ the wheels. I know, I need to do something about the hubs but I'm not sure yet. I need to buy locks for the wheels.

Who carries these? I've been trying to find a vendor that actually can sell these.
BTW, looks awsome. I have been thinking the 500's over the 505's. And painting the spokes either body color, or a very dark grey.

Sells the CCW wheels?
CCW only sells thru themselves, they do not use any vendor or distributer. John does not advertise nor use anyone other than his own company.
Unless you were talking about something else. I had John give me a credit on the lugs, I went and bought the Gorilla complete locking system for my wheels.

Figured I'd check now that you've had plenty of opportunity to drive it in all kinds of circumstances.

I've got CCWs with the same widths and offsets as him (just 19s) and I have experinced 0 rubbing in pretty much any possible situation

No rubbing AT ALL. I'm real happy with them. I need some tips on how to keep them like mirrors though. Any tips Purplenurple or Josh? BJ, you were right, they're not that hard to take care of in Cali. MM, I got them a little while back after bothering most of the guys on the forum about fit, finish, clearance, etc... I'm still getting a pic of yours blown up for my garage wall.

Mine arent quite like mirrors, beacause I was a bit careless when I washed them for the first time, but this is how I keep them protected + clean.
Buy some Duragloss #105 and apply a layer to clean, dry wheels. If you wish, wash the wheels and apply another layer the next day.
To prevent rust drippage from the rotors and getting water trapped in the crannies and calipers, I use Optimum No-Rinse to wash them with a grout sponge and 2 bucket method.
After washing, I apply Duragloss Aquawax. This is a spray sealant that lasts up to 1.5months on paint and is decent for extra protection on the wheels until the next wash. I just recently go in some Optimum Spray Wax, Optimum Opti-Seal, and DP Spray Sealant to play around with on my paint and will try them on the wheels. The OSW supposedly has some swirl filling abilities, so Ill see how goes on the wheels.
All of these products can be purchased from autogeek.net
I've had these for about a month and a half and they are still protected and I've not had a reason to polish, except for the hairline scratched that are visible from 1ft away. Good luck lol :)

I'll put them on the next Vette for sure.

No prob...between the aquawax, 105, and ONR, you should be out just $30, and all those products work great on the paint and windows.

Hey Purplenurple, how do you apply and polish the wheels? I used Mothers, Rejex, and some auto glym polish 1stGoat gave me, microfiber towels and a powerball and it looks as if it's still scratched from drying them of with a hard towel. I can't seem to get that mirror look. I knew that these wheels were going to take more to keep new but geeeeez. I tried to get them to look like they did when they were new but just gave up. Any tips?

Tony,
I use the Power Ball with Mothers Aluminum liquid polish to rub in. The key for me has been the time allowed to dry on the wheel itself before I buffed off with 100% terry towels I bought from Wal-Mart. That's it!
This picture was taken 02/17. I polished the wheels during my X-mas Break

Here is a tutorial that thedak showed me - http://www.s10forum.com/how_to_polish_aluminum_whe els
Mine look like bjs's in terms of fine swirls. These are just wheels and its not worth breaking your back over them. Get them to where you are fine with the appearence and seal them up + maintain. Invest in some quality microfibers and applicators. I use the yellow sponge applicators and orange MF covered sponge applicators from autogeek. For polish and sealant removal, and drying/aquawax removal I use plush MFs from chemicalguys.com (I have the
Deluxe") and the grey "Vroom" MFs from target - these are really nice for OTC towels.

That's amazing that you have 9.5s with 275s without fender rolling/cutting and have zero rubbing. I've always seen on here that you need to roll/cut the fender with this combo. What's the offset?
