Just got my Ruff R930s today and since they are a new model from Ruff, I wanted to post some pics.

I went with 18" in the front with 19" in back and shaved 3mm on all 4 corners (see my sig for the rest of the details). I must say that I was really looking for some serious lip in a wheel and these certainly delivered. If I had any regrets it would be that I should have considered something in a similar aspect ratio in front when compared with the rear. The aspect of the front tires are fairly tall whereas the rears are short due to the different wheel diameters -- thus making the wall height difference is a bit more obvious than I would have liked. Maybe after a few thousand miles when its time for new rubber, I'll consider something like a 35 in front. Aside from this I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

The first two pics are left and right side views, the next two are close ups of the front and rear (in case you're curious, the lip depth is about 3-1/2" in front and 4-1/2" in the rear).

I was wondering how they would look .... they are actually pretty nice. I do agree with the idea of getting different fronts later to even out the look, but its still nice.

like 1969 SS said, the bfg's are nice but a more symmetrical look would be 275/30/19 in the rear and 235/40/18 in the front.

the problem is that, even it both tires were on the suggested rims sizes, your rear tire is over 1" shorter than your front. I'm sorry, but the more I look at it, the worse it looks. if that was my car and I noticed a mistake like that, it would be changed immediately

why don't you take two of the tires off, while they are still almost new and try to sell them to someone. you won't lose too much money that way and your car won't look like a front wheel drive set-up?

Actually, the difference is less than a half inch smaller in the rear. If you calculate it out, the front diameter would be 25.72" and the rears would be 25.26". However, your point is well taken.

Visually, it's not all that noticable so I will probably hang in there until its time to replace.

CoppeR also suggested 275/30/19 in the rear and 235/40/18 in the front. This sounds like a nice combination, though I've heard some mixed comments about 275's fitting in the rear, but I like the idea.

Good news to report!

I spoke my salesman at the tire store where I purchased these wheels and tires from and he is willing to swap the front 245/40-18s for 245/35-18s straight across even though the retail on the 35s is a bit more ($12) than the 40s -- in addition to the fact that he had already given me a great price below retail to start with.

Another satisfied customer...

nice rims have you had any shaking or vibration form your wheels at speeds over 100mph? i ask because i just bought the R280's and i see a few people had some problems with that, i have put mine on yet....

Because I have yet rolled my fenders or installed drag bags, I have to be a bit careful with hard acceleration and on rough roads. I've only got these on Saturday and this is my daily driver, so I don't get too many opportunities to hit high speeds. But that's not to say that I haven't...:p

I did wrap it up a bit on an on-ramp yesterday and hit somewhere between 95 and 100 before backing off to merge with traffic and I did not notice any unusual vibrations at that speed. I'll try to pay more attention next time and let you know.

Those rims look pretty sharp! When are you planning on rolling the fenders? You might then be able to fit the 275's on the rear.

Not sure yet... What CoppeR recommended above already has me drooling a bit, so rolling the fenders may be my better choice. I'll keep you posted.

Not my taste, but then again not my car. Too beefy for the overall smoothness of the car. Kind like loose granny panties on a nice chic.

I agree that the ratio of tire to rim is a little offset, but the style of the rims are sexy.

If/when he gets the ratio set, it'll be perfect for that car.

And BTW, with his exhaust sound, the nice chic has some cushion for the pushin' :boink:

I gotta be perfectly honest here. I really don't think they flow with the GTO whatsoever, or any car in that regard. The spokes look horrible, and the fact that the lugs are covered up with some sort of plate makes them look Really cheap. They look like something you'd stick on a 1/24 scale toy model of the GTO, if that.

Not to mention the difference in tire sizes just adds a whole new level of craptastic to the picture.

I don't mean to be harsh, but those Have to be, the worst set of rims I have ever seen on a GTO.

That said, the SRM itself is still gorgeous.

Looks like a hoodrat wheel.

Okay, first off, got the front tires replaced with 245/35-18s in place of the original 245/40-18s and I must say that this aspect ratio looks a lot better.

Though I think I still agree with CoppeR and will probably go with 275/30/19 and 235/40/18 next time around.

As for the comments from BlackPearl and TheNewKid, you guys need to learn how to speak your minds without dancing around. But then again, I didn't buy them to please you.

Granny Panties? Maybe if I had gone with 15" wheels or something like that. But 18 and 19's? Hardly. I'll grant you that the original 40's mounted on the 18's in front looked okay by themselves, but when visually compared to the 30s on the rear they seemed a bit thick. But now when combined with the new 35's in front, that should take care of that.

As for the lug covers, then to be consistent, you probably say the same thing about our plastic GTO covers over the engine. The lug covers just add a bit of dress up. At any speed over a few miles an hour, you'll never be able to tell the difference. Besides, I'm secure enought with this cars nads that I don't feel the need to show off it's nuts all the time. :slap:

And Jim346... hoodrat wheels??? Not even close. They are more comparable to the venerable CCW 505a with the exception of the chrome instead of polished look, the 2 point angles on the spokes instead of a smooth curve, and of course, the covers. Hopefully your comment is based on the poor angle of the photos where the chrome appears to make the spoke area look much more "filled in" than it actually is. Hopefully these two new photos do them better justice.

Nah, still hate them. The monster center caps are ghetto.

holy fender gap on that front.

I would have to see the wheels in person to decide if i like them or not. Probly not though.

Not feelin it!
Look like they belong on a Lexus IMHO.
Love the SRM though.

Not feeling them. Sorry, but they bother me almost as much as your avatar.

I still don't like them either. You need to lower that front. It has that 4x4 look.

Okay, fair enough...many of you don't like these...just like I (or many others) don't care for the honeycomb look that many of you have. What does matter is that you like what you have.

As for the gap, I will agree. However, a Pedders upgrade is next on the list -- so that should address that issue (though I will have to watch the chin on curbs stops).

To "bulky" looking.

18" or 19" -----> Pick one size and stay with it.
