I'm looking for the best all around setup for twisties/daily driving/street racing. What size tires in front/rear should I look at? Anyone know of some specific combos that work great with little-medium modification (fender rolling/suspension work ok)?

Just want to get 500RWHP to the ground more rather than just spinning the tires.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have the drift r staggered setup with the 275/35/18 toyo proxis t1r tires. They do ok but first and second gear is very exciting once the boost really builds. I am going to start running Drag Radials this summer. If the twistys possibly some toyo r888 tires.

Also search out some of Loboosts posts as I believe he was running some ps2 combo for the highspeed runs.

even with 275s in the rear and no boost, 1st and 2nd are useless past 1/2 throttle. And this is with the numbers in my sig, but will be 500rwhp in a month or 2.

I like the PS2's.

What about 17 or 18. Staggered setup? What widths front/back? Looking for some proven setups for our cars.

If I could do it all over again, it would be with a 17" ASA ar1 or the SSR staggered setups. 8" in with a 245 in front and 9 or 9.5" in with a 275 in back. Lightweight, lots of tire options.

I would probably get staggered 17 or 18 inch CCW SP500s or 550s with 285s in the back...

Best Tire for the buck is prolly 275/30/18 nitto 555's which i grab for 150$ a piece. But for all out traction brand preference would be a michelin ps2 setup if money is no object of course =)

We build an 18x10 for the rear of these cars, specifically with guys like yourself in mind. You can easily run a 275-35-18, if you do a little nip and tuck you can run a 285-35-18. We also make a 9 for the front that you can put a 265-35-18 on.

You need to "pick your poison" as far as the tire goes. The Toyo T1-R is as good as money can buy, especially for everyday use. If you are willing to sacrifice some tire wear you can go to the Toyo R888 or the new Toyo R1R.

I was seeing in some post people recommending 245's in the rear instead of the 275. Is this recommendation just for the stock wheels? Anyone know how the CCW wheels compare to Group A wheels?

Uhh...you are comparing custom forged wheels to cast wheels.
The CCWs will cost more, but you get what you pay for. From what I've seen, CCWs should be almost 10lbs lighter per wheel than a ROH (Group-A) wheel of the same size. Also, the CCW offsets work a bit better than the ROH offsets and the wheels look better (IMO) and are stronger.

Thanks. Not to familiar on wheels as of now. Been to busy learning FI. Now I need to fix the suspension/wheels to get that power to the ground. Spinning tires is fun - unless you're trying to race.
