Purchased some wheels finally..

Finally gave in and purchased some Drift Rs in competition black (18x9, and 18x10) Well, I will tommorow rather, but I already purchased the tires, gonna use 265x35x18 rear GS-D3s, and 245x40x18 fronts.

I was going to do 275 on the rear, but TR was on backorder for a few months so I went with 265, I didn't want to do 285 yet without knowing how well they would fit so I played it safe and went 265 for now, and if they clear well enough for a 285 I will go that route when these need to be replaced. I'm one of those types that just has a hard time willing to cut things on the car for 20 mm.... I know, I know... crazy.

Anyways I'm super psyched, can't wait to see them on my QSM, escpecially with the quadtip borla for 04s :gears:

I'm definately interested. Been contemplating these exact wheels for my ride, and seeing them on your car would give me a decent idea what they would look like on my barbados...

You may want to get 275's in the rear though. I have 19x10's in the back now with 275's, and I test fitted some 285's a while back with no problems, so I will be getting 285's when these wear out. I am also running 265's in front on the 19x10 wheel with a 3/8 drop spring and it fits perfect.

I think the 275's look a little narrow for a 10" wide rim.

Tirerack was out of 275 GS-D3s and are on backorder for 6 months now, so I went with the 265 before I did a 285 and found out there was no chance in them fitting. Also you need to remember you are running Toyo's and I am doing Goodyears, your toyos with their rounded edge is more of a 265, and mine is more of a 275.

Gonna look sweet but should've went bigger in rear but I understand completely the desire to not want to cut up a brand new car(mine was when I cut them).
But I'll never sell it so.

Yeah, like I said I know Goodyears run a bit wide and I was going to do a 275 ( little less than a 285, but a bit more than a standard 275 ) but they were out of 275s, and knowing that GYs run wide, I didn't want to risk doing a 285 and it having no chance at fitting. So I figured I'd do the 265s for now, and see how the fitment is. Rear tires are consumable, so no worries!

I didn't know how that would look with being a staggered setup, or if it'd fit. I didn't have PC access when I was ordering this stuff. But when it comes time to replace, I think things will be a little different on the route. Time will tell, either way I can't wait for this stuff to come in!
