Decision about tires

Right now it's still cold in NJ (between 40-50 degrees) and the continental contiprocontacts that cam with my car spin violently even at highway speeds if i stomp on it in 3rd. Should I keep them until my tires wear out or will they probably grip better when it warms up? I have money for tires but I have bills to pay and there are a few other mods that I'm interested in

Well, considering that your tires are the one thing keeping you from crashing into a tree, I would say they are the MOST important thing you can do.

Get summer tires for summer and all season for winter if thats a worry for you - otherwise all season all around and no worries.
