Wheel help

I'm looking at a set of wheels and tires for the goat. I'm wondering if these will fit on my stock 05 GTO:

+38 offset
17 X 7
with 255 45 17 tires or
with 245 45 17

I'd like to go with 255 tires (only reason is they are about $80.00 cheaper for the tires) but I was told they wouldn't fit and would look like crap, but said the 245s would be fine. Is there that much of a difference and would it look that bad?

Only mod done to the car is the exhaust.

Stock 17's are 8" with 48mm offset.
Why go with a narrower rim? Unless they're free get some 17" or even better 18" stockers.

I can't see tucking a 255 tire in a 7" wheel, no.

How about 18 X 7.5 offset +35 with 245/45 18 tires?
any rubbing with those or would those look just as bad?

I found rims that I like but it seems these are the options for what I'm looking for. The name of the wheel is KATANA WHEELS Destiny.
Any help with getting this combo right would be greatly appreciated.

Seems like most wheel/tire packages offer the wheel but super skinny tires, what's up with that?

Just so you all know, I need tires and for the cost of replacing the tires locally I can get a set with wheels for a bit more off the new. That is if I can find the right combo.

Hey Red Goat, one thing you can try if you dont find it in the wheel gallery is hit ebay and go under wheels and tires and search by 5x120 check search title and description.

under the 18"s you might find these.. I know they arent the exact same but close...

You know... I have no Idea why I thought that wasnt nice... maybe it was a lack of sleep or something..
