need help with tire size

what is the widest tire i can fit on a stock rim [18in] i just got my 06 GTO monday i have bought a set of SLP long tube headers and loud mouth cat back K&n cold air intake B&M short shift SLP skip shift i will get pix up later was thinking a 275/40/18 rear 235/40/18 front

with the rear you could use 275s but u would either need to roll the fender or do what i did and put in 1 in coil spacers and a new rear sway bar

Stock rim 255 maybe a 265 rear.

Im running a 255/40/18 bfg kdw2 in rear and 245/40/18 front with stock rims with no rubbing. no fender rolling/cutting and stock suspension with sagging rear springs. im happy with that combo for everyday driving
