As some may know, I got in a wreck Monday night. My front wheels took a direct hit, into a curb at around 50 MPH. They were also turned so they took damage to the face of the passenger side wheel, inside of the driver's side.
Both wheels were destroyed, it was that violent of an impact.
The lugs, spacers and everything else however are 100% intact and still in good shape...nothing broken, nothing bent (this is AFTER the inspection was made by a professional).
Verdict...even with a direct impact at 50 MPH they still held...no problems, nothing broken...my wheel did not fly off...my longer studs did not fail...
After driving on these wheels for some time in all conditions and at high speeds I can say that for street driving...there is nothing unsafe about doing a C6 wheel conversion...

All mine buddy...winter cold + summer tires + too much throttle = big crash....
I might go with 19" Drift R's this time around...3 of my C6 wheels were ruined and they're on back order until the end of summer so I have to go with something else...

Glad you're OK, smokehouse, and sorry for your loss. If you do get the 19" Drift R's I think you'll be happy with them. IMHO only the CCWs are finer.
Which brings me to the thank you for this post. To do 275s on the front with the above Drift R's you either need Noltec eccentrics or a spacer plate. I've been meh on the spacer plate due to the safety, but now I think I'm gonna do it.
