The Car is 370Kw or 480Hp...
Only runs in the low 13s though. Its that old overpowered and under tired thing. Should do 12s easily on bigger rubber.

That thing should be low 12s or even 11s! Why only 13's? Bad Driver? Not enough Traction?
Awesome video though :D

because the magazine tests pretty much launched the car te same way the video shows above :slap: , how you expect to get a good time
this car should be mid/low 12s... remember thats 480 flywheel HP not RWHP,still impressive, but nothing that can't be achieved with a set of headers, gearing and a cam swap in the GTO all tuned up.

I have to agree, maybe its the driver, maybe it cant get the power down. But a car with 130Hp more than a stock 04 GTO, and only 2 tenths or so quicker, just doesn't add up. Maybe they need to get someone like Nikkivee in the car, to show them the finer points on launching the vehicle properly. Bet he would get low 12s, without even raising a sweat.
The car does have massive top end speed though, and will out run "almost" anything this side of a 911...

If it's the video of the Corsa Coupe then it has a 6.5 litre LS1.

I know what you are saying and ,yes, i know that means 480 at the flywheel and not at the wheels. But that should still mean it has no less than 420rwhp. Hell, a Z06 has about 365 at the wheels and it puts down about a 12.3 1/4. I know there is a weight difference there, but still. But yeah, magazines tend to not get the times that most cars are capable of. Motor Trend only recorded a 13.6 while SLP got a 13.1 out of our Goats. Guess its just up to who really wants to get the best times. :D

480hp in aus is about 360-380 rwhp, out industry standard dyno's read 15% lower than the u.s industry standard. so basically here in aus manaul loss = 20%, auto 25-30% and awd 40% so any car you hear about in aus the hp figure will need to be corrected to compare to a u.s car, makes those 1500rwhp road legal monsters we have seem abit more imposing

It may only do low 13s but it will top out at 175mph. This particular car only has 3.46 diff gears and the newly built motor has been installed into a body that has done hundreds of 1/4 mile runs, heaps of circuit laps, as well as having the arse flogged out of it by every motoring magazine in the country. At its last official test, the comment was made that the body was feeling a bit tired and that they would have achieved a much better result with a brand new car as opposed to a development hack.
