View Full Version : Forza Demo Disc
Has anyone else played the Forza demo disc? I went out to best buy yesterday to ask about a preorder. The guy I asked went off to go check and came back and said they aren't doing preorder, but that someone told him there is a demo disc in the back, so he was going to go grab both of us one. Well, I'm REALLY disappointed in it. I think the demo is an early production, or atleast I hope it is. Atleast the disc was free  . The AI in the game is TERRIBLE. I held the brakes at the start of a race so the car behind me couldn't go anywhere. It backed up just a little, then bumped me. It did it one more time then decided to back WAY UP and ram my car as hard as it could. I guess i'll be doing that blockbuster gamepass and checking out Forza. Only 6 more days...FORGET FINALS!!
The games are just to focused on eye candy. Advanced AI in a racing game means the compter gets nitro boosts when you are ahead and their rpm limiter gets stuck at 4500 rpm if you are behind them. It's universally terrible! I still have fun with my GT4 though. ;)

The demo was a very early release. I am hoping and I think it will be a lot better then the demo proved to be.
GT4 rocks.
In case any of you XBox folks cared ;) :D

I have Xbox and PS2. GT4 does indeed rock. I am looking forward to decent racing game on the xbox though. I prefer the triggers on the xbox controllers.
Yeah GT4 is earning all my time. Between my yellow GTO and my black M3 CSL I'm dominating...

I need to get GT4, don't have an X-box. I hate the was racing games are with the standard controlers though, so I was thinking of buying one of those steering wheel setups for it. Now that I got my new home theater speakers it is gonna be so cool

Well fortunatly I won't have to buy it because I have a mod chip and a 160gb hard drive. So i can just "borrow" the game from someone and burn it to my hard drive. :bubbrub

That Forza demo is OLD really old. I wouldnt judge any game by a Demo that is released almost half a yr before the actual game is released.

I read somewhere online that this is a new demo. This one isnt online enabled and on the cd is printed 2005. I'm homing it is the same demo just new printing on the disc. :bomb:

I bought a second Xbox because the DVD drive on mine decided to take a dump on me :banghead: . I'm thinking about getting a mod chip and transfering them over the network to the xbox. I have an extra 200gig hard drive laying around and my new computer has SATA so I can't just pop it in.
I was looking for a force-feedback wheel for the xbox and heard this was supposed to be the best one. Well, it turns out there is no such thing as force feedback on the xbox. The only simulate it using the rumble channel. No way in hell would I ever pay $150 for a wheel that doesnt even give resistance while driving. Way to go microsoft...maybe on the next xbox they can get it right!!

I personally would have thought that I would hate Midnight club dub edition, but here I am still playing it, and nothing I have has anything more than 19 inch wheels, its pretty fun, to mess with the size of the back tires and do a staggered setup, you can seriously rice out the cars if you want, but I try to keep it respectable. Also you dont have to do any body stuff if you dont want to in order to move on. Right now I have a 300c all blacked out a 68 GTO Bright Red with American Racing wheels, and a Lotus Elise.

This game is getting insane reviews from all the one's i've seen so far....you can go to www.gamerankings.com to see some of them...Obviously the comparisons to GT4 are imminent, but every review I have read has said that this beats GT4 in almost every way, except when it comes to number of cars and tracks...I got mine preordered, and can't wait to make my Goat a mean machine and take it online!!! Happy racing...P.S. I have always loved the GT series, but the lack of online play is very disappointing to fans of the series...
