Finally,
After a year figuring out what wheels I wanted,
and another year of whining about what finish,
a failed group purchase,
8 weeks of back order,
Ground from California to NC,
my single shipment on two different fed ex trucks delivered on two different days (because one of the trucks couldn't get past the "security" on my street :bs: (there is no security on my street)),
the tires taking two days longer than they said to get to the tire shop,
the new shoes are on the GTO...and I am veerrrry pleased

They do look good, I like that color combo. I hate to hear the 8 weeks of back order thing though. Also, Find some center caps quick.

Nice lookin' rides. What are the sizes?
Mine are BMW CSL replica's in hyperblack by Velocity Motoring Wheels
staggered set-up, fenders rolled
245/40/18 in front on 8.5" rims
275/35/18 in back with 9.5" rims
blackpearls are staggered 19" aza-15's
I thought about the 19" but I drive my GTO everywhere and was afraid the ride would be effected too much and the sidewall would be too narrow to save me from some hard hits
However, the ride feels the same as it did with the stock 17"s
Also, I double checked and waited only 7 weeks. I believe I ordered mine the day or two after they sold out because when they called to say they were back ordered, they still had a set of non-staggered rims
The center cap thing pisses me off a little because you can't find them on the modbargain website and when I emailed them about it they told me i needed to use the centers from my old BMW rims. I don't mind buying them, I just wish I knew the deal so I could have gotten them at the same time as my wheels

looks great man, my 19" HSV VZ R8's are shadow chrome (hyperblack) and I agree its the color to have on CGM.
Car looks good. might want to ditch the stock boomerang though......

Hyperblack and CGM are a natural combo.
On a side note, its always a pleasure to see Macro's ride.

Nice!! CGM is the best color and the darker colored rims set it off!

Both look sweet. But i would get the 19's too!
My 19's ride better than my stock 18's never would have guessed that!

is this usually the case for these wheels, where the rear tire is a 35 instead of 40? i thought that would cause a miss-match in the number of rotations per minute?

Technically
Stock 245/45/17 have a diameter of 25.68 in
245/40/18 have a diameter of 25.71" or a +0.12% difference
275/35/18 have a diameter of 25.57" or a -0.43% difference
so yes there is a slight difference but it is still the correct size (closest match)
the front rotate 0.9 times less over a mile while the rears rotate 3.5 time more in that mile
275/40/18 have a diameter of 26.66" or a 3.68% difference and would rotate about 30 times less per mile
